1977 - A pleasing thread and I hope it turns full throttle for you.
With regards to your staking plan, you feel this could be used well in laying football teams or would you opt for something different? |

Looks like back on track nicely Steve
A great thread. Well played. |

pipyt- sorry if not clear. There is absolutely NO WAY I would pay coco or anyone else for tips. It's far, far better to develop your own ways and understand them and get a feel for what you are doing - both more rewarding and satisfying. I would never wish to be dependent on someone else turning up with selections for ever and a day. I'm quite happy to watch and study coco's selections and staking to see if I can adapt it for myself - provided it is more rewarding than what I do already of course. After three days observing his ROI is far greater than my own - early days of course but I will continue the trial - unless he reads this and locks me out of course :)

progresive stakingplans like martingale ,fabionci , six box fabionci ,six box martingale profit per winner, dont work they a liability . If you were running a book on the flip of a coin the odds would be 10/11 the field thus giving you a small profit as its really an even money shot.but if you take a coin and fip it over and over again you will without doubt get long sequences where the coin comes down the same way . If your backing horses that have a 2/1 chance then the sequences will be longer still , you would have to have a 75%strike rate on 2/1 shots consistantly to be worth while or eventually you would crash and burn take my advise" been there don that"

I totally agree Papillion - The RP have a real nerve charging for their site. Especially with 2 of their tipsters occupying the bottom 2 specs in the naps table and only 1 in profit. They are certainly not getting my money.

Good Afternoon
Well after no lays yesterday I'm quite looking forward to todays action. As you know I don't often put up back bets on this thread but I quite fancy one today at Lingfield. In the 3.30 Ling I really think that the fav Piazza San Pietro won't be winning today and as I am laying the 2nd fav I think that the current 3rd fav Rondeau has a cracking chance. I backed him this morning @ 8.0ish and have seen him being supported all day now to a current price of 5.3/5.4. So in the 3.30 in quids in or I will have done my nuts :-) Laying Piazza San Pietro and Loupehole and backing Rondeau. Also, another one which I think is too short today is Rafta in the in the 8.25 @ Leicester currently trading at 2.64/2.68, backed in from around 6.0 so THEY are on....but do THEY KNOW?. Worth a lay of a few pounds I think at the price. Although don't quote me ;-) Day 98 Wednesday 22nd July 2009 Starting Bank: £5,000 Bank: £12,853.49 Bank High: £16,460.78 Today's Stakes Remain Unchanged: Prices below 3.5: lay to 1% of bank - backer's stake £164.60 Prices from 3.6 to 4.5 lay to 0.9% of bank - backer's stake £148.14 Prices from 4.6 to 5.5 lay to 0.8% of bank - backer's stake £121.68 Prices from 5.6 to 6.5 lay to 0.7% of bank - backer's stake £115.22 Prices from 6.6 to 7.5: lay to 0.6% of bank - backer's stake £98.76 Prices from 7.6 to 8.5 lay to 0.5% of bank - backer's stake £82.30 Prices from 8.6 to 9.5: lay to 0.4% of bank - backer's stake £65.84 Prices from 9.6 to 10.5 lay to 0.3% of bank - backer's stake £49.38 Prices from 10.6 to 11.5 lay to 0.2% of bank - backer's stake £32.92 Todays Selections: Lingfield: 3.00 Piccolinda 3.30 Louphole 4.00 Fantasy Fighter Catterick: 3.20 Feelin Foxy 4.20 Redwater River Worcester: 3.40 Well Mick 4.10 Turbo Shandy Todays Takings: £ Less 5 % Comm. £ Todays Losses: £ Profit/Loss: £ Bank: £12,853.49 Level Stakes: Todays P + L Points Total P + L +181.00 Points Todays Strike Rate % Total Strike Rate 87.85% Wins 582 - 65963 Bets |

Hello Mate - no worries.
Good Luck Mate. Can't believe Piccoloinda. I layed @ 9.8 earlier and it trading at over 20.0 now!! Might have to green up my trade :-) |

Eegads, we clash again on the same race. Just in to find Le Toreador a non-runner which was actually a plus for us both, I feel (in my case was relying on Le Toreador and Go Go Green more than Feeling Foxy).
GL Taking on the Nifty Fox. A drop in weights but todays conditions will not suit the horse which, despite a third place finish last time out, fails to be part of the race till others drop off. As mentioned, last time out third against others rated lower than some in todays field. Le Toreador is going for win number three in a row and has a 5 lb claimer that should give this game horse all the chances it needs on todays going. Feeling Foxys recent victory at Doncaster was not as competitive as today but the horse did prove its ability on the ground coming from behind and winning by two lengths over the sprint. Go Go Green likely to set an early pace making the sprint more difficult for the non-pace setting Nifty Fox. Of the last two, I rate Cayman Fox over Nifty Fox for early pace so, again, a horse that could make the early pace challenging for Nifty Fox. The race will come down to two horses; Le Toreador and Go Go Green leaving Nifty Fox fighting for a space in the frame at best. Good luck on your day. |

My lay beats your lay! Well done :(
|
|
By:
Steve, couldn't resist the drift and layed a couple of quid off at 18s. Daft not to really.
|
|
By:
sanddancer, totally agree.
It is even more advisable in hurdles or longer races when the odds pop up early when the race has not even formed. Usually punters trying to recoup their back offer great odds the first few furlongs. ;) Today, any of my savings on the race were pre-race trades (it touched 5.0 in-running. I unfortunately expected around a point higher). One trick you can incorporate is if you lay back some at 18, you can always put a bit back up at, say 50% at what the off was (i.e. 5/1, put some up at 7/2). That way, if there is a bounce the other way, you can get back in at value then go for either another trade or ride at lesser odds. Anyways, it is princess shapeshifter's second birthday. She's home in a bit from the minders so some quality time to make one forget about a 5F furlong that went againt him. |
