Probst, I never said they were **ing. I'm not making any moral judgements on fast pic players. My gripe is with betfair because I think they're losing me (as well as them) a lot of customers.

Yes. Yes. Still the best thing since sliced bread because of the wide range of betting activities made possible.

Where were you during the pc debates artie? It seems you hold crowd pleasing above being the last of the betfair groupies.

Has Betfair said they are "losing a lot of customers" ? Do you have "inside info." on this subject ?

Put it this way archie, the bookmakers don't seem unduly worried about "the greatest thing since sliced bread".

big bookmakers biggest layers on here are they

Idiotic statement. Why should bookmakers be worried. Betfair don't have every city centre saturated with shops and in any case Betfair does not and never will be of interest to your beloved mindless mugs.

Almost all of the high st bookmakers have online betting sites in case you hadn't noticed artie.

It took 163 posts but Feck has finally said: "crowd pleaser", do you feel better now? How about throwing a bit of Thatcher into the debate next.

You sound like a bit of a thatcherite crowd pleaser curly. Ever work in the financial sector perchance?

I've only been to London once let alone work there Feck.

Just as well curly. It's full of bankers.

as if the GC would have ever sent people to the tracks to witness a new breed of professionals, with handsfree mobile phoneS standing at the line shouting along the final furlong.

I saw TEN people doing this at windsor last summer.

Truth is Feck, you only want sites like this to be used by people like you (though not quite as good as you so you can win from them). Well, the reality is, there are others around who do things differently and have just as valid a reason to be here.
That's one of the beauties of the exchange system and I'm sure the model will be around longer than you.

Why slate the report because they didn't see things your way?

How could they take you seriously when you use your Betfair forum name to hide behind? If you feel so strongly about this (as you obviously do) why didn't you tell them your name?
By:
Feck N. Eejit
When: 01 Apr 09 16:52
Trappers have a valid reason to be here diddycoy. Doesn't mean they're good for the exchange. One day there will be a gambler's exchange (NAP) and the traders and copy cats can hang on to this one.

We keep hearing that a trading room or home sis is available to everyone yet they probably cost what the average working man is taking home in pay per week. Is this place full of hoorah henrys that think everyone can be bankrolled by daddy?
By:
Feck N. Eejit
When: 01 Apr 09 17:03
It would be more valid to say that the old clock beating method was available to all.

When this gamblers exchange (nap) comes along will you still pop over to tell everything you think is wrong on here ?
By:
Feck N. Eejit
When: 01 Apr 09 17:09
I won't have to.

some people on here want an exchange where prices are hidden, that would be interesting but i.m.o that would be another way of looking for mugs.
By:
Feck N. Eejit
When: 01 Apr 09 17:13
We all need mugs statman. All the better if they know they can stick up a large bet without it inevitably acting as a bookend.
By:

When: 01 Apr 09 17:13
the insiders will like this new gamblers site
By:
Feck N. Eejit
When: 01 Apr 09 17:17
You mean they don't like this one where they can push their non-triers out to value prices or continually undercut everyone with their unexposed ones?
By:
THE STATMAN
When: 01 Apr 09 17:19
there is that feck but wouldnt the bf tissue be roughly used on this other site.
By:
Feck N. Eejit
When: 01 Apr 09 17:23
If all the big gamblers moved over to the gambling exchange there would be no bf tissue statman. Traders cannot operate without gamblers. The reverse is not true.

Nothing against them statman. They just don't serve any purpose although some of them are convinced the place would fall apart without them. Ever wonder why they didn't all stay over at the purple site where they were only getting charged 10% of what betfair was charging.
By:
Feck N. Eejit
When: 01 Apr 09 17:33
They have a lot in common with their financial counterparts, not least in the self-importance department.
By:
THE STATMAN
When: 01 Apr 09 17:36
a bit harsh maybe, think they do add a bit of liquidity, though not as much as they think, as the purple site has proved.

what do you know? a review set up by a body set up after a review by new labour lines up with the vested interests (in my view correctly but i haven't looked at their reasoning fwiw) instead of in favour of the nannying by the types (frog, etc.) who advocated the setting up of such a pointless bureaucracy in the first place. meanwhile said bureaucracy costs the industry (particularly those too small to lobby) for no result. don't say i didn't predict it........

tax coming? why not?

gordo would have brought it in years ago if he thought it was workable. it fits his puritanical streak as well as his penchant for blowing other peoples' wealth. one assuems that if he believes such a tax to be unworkably complicated the tories will think likewise, and you'll be seeing a lot of them from next year onwards.....
