Crewe's chance of a play off place looking bleak especially if Grimsby beat Harrogate on Saturday.

Last minute goal for Crewe 2-3 final score.

So much for my predictions, Cheltenham weren't supposed to score 3 goals. Great entertainment though.

Notts County play Salford tonight. This will be a hard fought game as both teams need the points.
After last night I hardly dare venture a prediction but at the risk of being shown up again I think Notts will win 2-1. There, I've said it. I won't be betting on this game, good luck if you do.

It's interesting that the bottom 2 play each other too tomorrow. Morecambe really need to win this one to put pressure on Tranmere and Accrington. I will be predicting Harrogate V Grimsby for the correct score comp, I missed out by an injury time goal last week so hoping for a better outcome tomorrow.

Forget the champions league boredom zone, the real action tonight is in league 2 where Salford host Doncaster. A win for Donny would see them jump into second place relegating long term leaders Walsall to the playoff zone. A win for Salford would see them close in on the playoffs with a better GD than 7th place Grimsby. Plenty to play for and one could make a case for all three results. I will hedge my bets and split my stake between 2-1 and 1-2.

Maybe. I would put the teams closer than the current odds suggest.

The referee robbed Salford according to Karl Robinson

Both teams had a goal disallowed. The Salford one was for a foul on the goalkeeper who was out of the frame when the alleged offence occurred so can't comment other than he was near the wrong goalpost for making the save. A draw was the best result for the other teams in the promotion race. I was pleased that the second goal was the equaliser as I was able to trade both bets at a profit.

Bradford host Notts County tonight in another game which could shape the promotion race. Bradford have the best home record in the division having lost only two and drawn three this season. On form Bradford should win but would you still trust your hard earned to league 2 form? The reverse fixture at Meadow Lane in December ended 3-0 to the home side. I won't be betting on this game but will watch it with interest on TV.

A high energy hard fought game with both sides going for it from start to finish. Bradford took the lead with a well placed header by Ciaran Kelly from a free kick. The equaliser came from a beautifully placed shot from David McGoldrick, a piece of magic that won him the man of the match award.

i have backed salford - 5/6 to beat accrington today, salford unbeaten in six -accrington not won in 6

Good luck, the Dragon. I've watched several games involving Salford and they are solid and consistent. This is in the price and they are playing a side that is fighting to ensure survival (they are almost there).
My preference today is for Barrow with a price around 2/1 to beat Fleetwood Town. I think they are in a false position having gone through a prolonged bad patch mid season and appear to have found their early form again.

Carlisle 2 up at HT against Port Vale. The fight to avoid relegation is heating up.

We know these things are not supposed to happen, if only we could guess which ones in advance.

Desperate scenes at Carlisle, Breeze saves a penalty as they hold on to their lead to win 3-2.

Doncaster the only winner from the top 11. Grimsby lose 4-0 at home to Swindon and move out of the playoff places, relinquishing 7th place to Colchester. Walsall now down to 4th.

This is a hugely exciting division this season with a great run in to come. I'm a Bradford supporter and think our automatic chances will be decided next Saturday against Donny. Some bonkers results recently with everyone at the top taking in turns to lose unexpectedly and turning in draws. There's a good battle on for play off spots and relegation is close. Great stuff!

Bradford have a stadium and a level of support worthy of the top two tiers, they have been languishing at the lower levels for far too long. I would say the same of Notts County but am somewhat biased in that respect.

When Walsall beat MK Dons on the 18th Jan, they were 12 points clear and Crewe were 2nd.  Since that match only the MK Dons (pre season faves iirc) have won less points than Walsall and Crewe!

Yes, the previous league match against Tranmere was the last game with Nathan Lowe in the team.

Anyone watching Newport v Walsall?  Terrible.  Why couldn't Walsall have played like this against Doncaster?!

I caught the last 10 minutes.
A nice try but no "hand of god" for Walsall. The points would have been undeserved.

The last 15 minutes when Newport were down to 10 men was by far the best bit.  Adomah missed a sitter halfway through the 2nd half but apart from that had the feel of a goalless drew after only a few minutes

A win at home to Bradford should be enough if Port Vale fail to win at Wimbledon.  Amazingly none of the top 6 apart from Donny won any of their last 2 games.  I'll take it mind.  Treble looking good Cool

Home and hosed, The Dragon. County will have an eye on the play-offs and won't want to risk injuries to key players at this stage.
