agreed Foin - no bets in Div 2 for me tonight notts co v colu shd have goals i reckon and an important game for two in form teams
|

Notts County's latest aquisition Traore was a very late sub (81 minutes) to make his debut last time against Port Vale and crashed a header against the woodwork in extra time. It will be interesting to see if he starts tonight.

Notts County v Colchester U was a very tight game with the visitors good value for their point.
Doncaster were down to 10 men during the second half and managed to hold on to an early one goal lead. From what I watched of the match at Fleetwood, the home side were making all the play but couldn't find their way through Wimbledon's very strong defence. Well, unders would have been the way to go or a lay of the 3 favourites (Donny were a touch under evens on here just before kick off iirc). |

Not much changed following the weekend results with most of the top teams winning and bottom teams losing. Four matches tonight and all look like low scoring affairs.
Bromley v Bradford City. Bradford are formidable at home but rather ordinary when playing away. Bromley have won the last 3 without conceding a goal. Cheltenham v Walsall. Walsall aren't the team they used to be when climbing to the top with a 12 point lead. After a bad patch they seem to be getting back on track. Cheltenham are one of the stronger mid table teams and still have a chance of making the playoffs. Gillingham v Fleetwood. This looks very much like a 0-0 draw judging by recent results where both have two no score draws in the last 5 games. Tranmere V Accrington. Two teams close to the brink of relegation and neither will want to lose this 6 pointer. Expect a cautious approach and not many goals. Best guess 1-0 home win. I will be backing under 2.5 goals on all 4 games plus the two correct scores mentioned. |
|

HT and the 0-0 has gone. The rest could be cashed for an overall half a point profit on the night. Lets see how it goes.
|

Cheltenham score twice in stoppage time. Exciting to watch but not good for my results. Both correct scores lost but they are risky bets with a potentially big reward. I'm putting too much faith in Gillingham, maybe I should just lay them and be done with it.

Barrow V Carlisle.
Rock bottom Carlisle need to start winning now if they are to avoid a second consecutive relegation. Realistically they need to win seven of their remaining fourteen games. Holker Street is probably not the best place to start, Barrow are difficult to beat at home and the playing surface is not one of the best. Barrow are reasonably comfortable having an 11 point cushion over second bottom Morecambe and a far superior GD. They are 15 points away from a play off place and that's a bridge too far at this stage of the season. A draw isn't out of the question and I will have a minimum stakes bet on 0-0 and 1-1 looking to trade if a reasonable profit becomes available. |
|
By:
A well deserved win for Carlisle, they fought for every ball. Carlisle GK Breeze man of the match.

The topsy turvy nature of this league was much in evidence tonight with Bradford being the only clear favourite to win. They keep churning out the results and are looking likely champions now as they close down leaders Walsall.
Gillingham, MK Dons and Chesterfield all fancied to do well this season continue to slide into the bottom half of the table, although none are in imminent danger of relegation, the cushion for Gillingham is now only 9 points with 12 games to play. |
|
By:
Another tricky card this weekend. My team to lay, Gillingham (sorry whispering
) is a bit big so I will just back Bradford to win. I will also lay the short priced home favourites, Walsall, Doncaster and Chesterfield but will wait until closer to kick off time to allow the prices to settle. If I had to pick a correct score then MK Dons to win 1-0 would be my choice as the visitors have a terrible record away from home. |
|
By:
i have Bradford as a good away win bet together with Bromley 19/10 at Tranmere. Done two singles and a double on them both with 365.
Newport are interesting at chesterfield who have lost 5 in last 6 at a massive price of 6.4 on here. i have had a slice of that. walsall may lose top spot this weekend as they entertain grimsby who are unbeaten in 6 |
|
By:
Good luck, the Dragon. With a lot of these clubs you have to wonder which team will turn up on the day. I agree with you that the Newport price looks far too big considering recent form. This league throws up lots of surprises, let's hope we can take advantage of them.

walsall 1-1 after 20 mins
|
|
By:
Grimsby have a second goal.
Wimbledon 2-0 against Notts Co. The visitors attack is well contained by Wimbledon's defence. Notts still missing two key players, David McGoldrick and Jody Jones, without them Jatta has little service up front. |

yes grimsby bet is definatley on

A welcome start to the afternoon, still a long way to go. Donny score in the first minute which doesn't help.
|
|
By:
yes good call on your lay of walsall

By:
Two out of 3 lays won which is good enough but Bradford were a huge disappointment. So much for form.
|
|
By:
yeah, newport and bromley also disappointing. not a day overall though as had a few decent winners in other leagues
|
|
By:
Newport scored first which was promising but shipped 2 before HT. Looking at the stats, Chesterfield closed the game down completely after HT, Newport xG 0.00.
|
|
By:
only 1 winner in top 7 last weekend.
wide open |

By:
Same as the previous week. Five games tomorrow with potentially interesting prices.

yes had a look but not too much interest.
will back grimsby to beat notts co at 6/4. small bet |

Tonight's games as follows
Grimsby V Notts Co. Two evenly matched teams both hoping to be in contention at the end of the season. Recent form is with the home side. AFC Wimbledon v Cheltenham. Wimbledon are very strong at home and should win this one. Colchester V Port Vale. Neither team score many goals and this looks like a draw. Accrington V Newport County. Accrington are trying to pull clear of the relegation zone and have won two of their last 4 outings. Newport are inconsistent and poor away from home. Salford City V Chesterfield. Chesterfield were expected to do well this season but they have sunk to the lower half of the table with a poor away record. I think Salford will be too strong for them. What should I do? I will pass on Grimsby and AFCW (AFC price too short for me) I will back 1-1 Colchester Vale if I can get nearer 7 than 6 I can't believe Stanley are odds on the win and will lay them. Salford are worth a punt at around 2.6 in my view. |
|
By:
Off to a terrible start. Accrington score 3 in 27 minutes, completely out of character and Salford had a man sent off on 24 minutes. One of the hazards of football betting.
Colchester lead by a goal to nil at HT, Wimbledon went behind but have levelled and no score yet at Blundell Park. |
|
By:
I thought for a fleeting moment that Port Vale's 84th minute equalizer would leave me with a profitable evening but Colchester scored again before the market could settle.
Notts County beat promotion rivals Grimsby, another fine goal by David McGoldrick just back from injury. Wimbledon surprisingly lose at home to Cheltenham. Accrington score 5 and Chesterfield win 4-0. |

crazy results my one bet in this div lost

Another tricky one tonight, The Dragon, Bromley have the better recent form but but but. Should I risk my last half crown on a correct score say 1-1 or 2-1 or buy some liquorice allsorts? I noticed last night that more of the pitches in this division are resembling ploughed fields which adds to the uncertainty. It's a good job I don't play the horses otherwise Mrs F's designer handbags would be down the pawnbrokers by now.

*tomorrow night*

|
By:
walsall look short to me and i wouldnt have them as favs. lay of walsall is my bet - not won in 4 - bromley 4 wins in 6 including 3 wins in 4 at home.
hang on to those handbags ![]() |
|
By:
it would be worth checking the lineups before placing any bets tonight just to be sure that Bromley's top scorer is picked. He has 17 goals to his credit, next come 4 players on 4 goals each.

Michael Cheek is named in the starting line up. I think both teams will score and that will be my bet. Still toying with the idea of placing correct score bets 2-1 and 1-2.

ended 2-2 so i got the lay vwd on btts foin

Thanks, The Dragon. I thought it was an evenly matched game with Bromley the best team in the first half and Walsall better in the second half. The pitch looked in good condition for the time of year. Bromley could still make the playoffs on this form.
|
|
By:
Not been following Bromley but Doncaster had 33 shots 8 on target, 14 corners and 56 touches in the Bromley box against them, compared to 7 shots 2 on target, 3 corners and 9 touches in the box from Bromley, when they met at Hayes Lane on the 4th March. Naturally it ended up 1-0 to Bromley
Bit gutting as have them in a treble with Plymouth and Shrewsbury to be relegated.Walsall's collapse is incredible. After 25 games they had a record of W18 D4 L3. In the last 12 they are W2 D5 L5. |
|
By:
Wouldn't surprise me if that's the most shots in a game by one side in L2 this season. Checked a few high scoring games and the most I found in a game was 26
