Realistically we have to beat City and Liverpool.

At present we're averaging close to one defeat for every three wins, spurning draws as one would spurn a rabid dog.

That ratio if it were to continue, would leave us on 87 points, so anything North of that would be competitive regarding the title I reckon.

And yes, I'm definitely in the realistic not misty-eyed camp, for the reasons Jed has outlined.

Can't see us getting anything at City, might get a point at Liverpool though,
as they're not exactly looking like world beaters.
Hope that the Chavs aren't Sarri less when we play them, and keeps Kante in an attacking position.
However 3 very, very difficult games which we need something out of to maintain 3rd
with Manure doing a Scobie Breasley (for the older punter).

No Rose or Davies tomorrow, but the midfield is still worrying me, for the life of me
I can't say Winks and Sissoko are ideal.

Question is... will Winks consider a forward pass tonight?

#thfc team vs. @BVB: Lloris. Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Foyth, Vertonghen. Winks, Sissoko. Eriksen, Lucas, Son.

3 at the back and Vert is Left back/wing back. So many defensive players in the side,  I wonder if it's tactics or shortage of offensive players.

Rumour has it that both Kane and Alli could be back for the second leg so it would make sense

Four defensive subs as well, with only Lamela and Llorente to bring on if we need a goal. Where's Dier - still recovering from his operation, or some new injury that I missed?

Cheers Aspro - thank goodness we've got ten days off after this one. Hope I'm wrong, but this game has the feel of a behind the sofa job.

TBH I dunno why we're bothering turning up, reading the Biased Broadcasting Corporation sports website.

Sancho is a world beater at 18, Pulisic is a cross between vintage era pele and Maradonna and Goetze is the ace in the pack who will run us ragged. Wembley is half full, Dortmund are providing the colour and we're this grey, artless team of journeymen........apparently

Superb performance, Vertonghen easily MOTM but special mention for Sissoko who put in a magnificent shift breaking up Dortmund attacks and also pushing forward too.
Bit of a cliche to say it's only half time but if we can nick a goal in the 2nd leg they'll need to score 5.

A nice break for the lads... boy have they earned it!

Read today that he's going to give them all a few days off to be with their families. Nice touch.

Well, didn't see that coming. Thought Poch would settle for 0-0 and try to score an away goal! Agree with Dan. How wrong was I with Sissoko. Shame he just puts in one of his "old" type of performance every now and then, normally in big games. But again the manager was right. We spent months wondering why Poch played him, defended him and praised him. Now I can see why. Credit where it is due and I was wrong. Tie still not over yet. Only half time but in a very strong position. COYS

Imagine the laughter on here if back in August, it had been suggested we would beat the German league leaders at Wembley, with a starting line up that included Aurier, Foyth, Sissoko and Winks, but not Trippier, Davies, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Lamela, Alli or Kane.

As usual the BBC were prattling on about Pocc moving to Man U this morning. Why would he want to leave a team he has built up, a new stadium (if they ever open it) and a supportive owner for a club that will never feel that anyone can replace Ferguson?

Well done last night Spurs . That was a proper European performance . I would be delighted with the same against Bayern next week. See you in the last 8 .

Sissoko is without doubt the most improved player at Spurs this season (how does he do it?) and all the talk about Poch moving to ANYWHERE is simply not going to happen. He will be our manager next season; of that I have no doubts at all.

I was following the game on the BBC Sport website and it read like 'The Jordan Sancho Love In Show'.

The BBC increasingly - be it the news or sport - start with their own narrative and report to bolster that, paying lip service to what is actually happening.

Ididn't see that coming, especially at half time!
I looked at our odds then  of circa 2.84 and I thought -no way.
Jan was incredible, best performance by a so called centre back I've seen for a very very long time.
A special mention for Aurier, who had his best game for us,notably after getting an early yellow card.
The whole eleven performed which is something you can't say every time.
This of course left me think how without Dele and Arry?
The conclusion is that Christian and Sonny in attack are priceless.
The defence (compared with Manure for example) is finely tuned, but it comes back to the first two,
without them we wouldn't have succeeded, but naturally the manager deserved a lot of plaudits.

A lot depends on who spuds draw in the quarter-finals , but if the draw opens up in a similar way to the way it did for you in the World Cup you could conceivably go all the way to the final . Good luck Happy

Great result for Spurs, but it didn't stop the Germans beating their fecking drums for 90 minutes....CryLaugh

Do I have to be a spuds supporter to give 'em credit for a job well done ?
Credit where credit due , likewise , criticism and ridicule where due . I couldn't find a reason to criticise or ridicule so decided to give you credit .
I'm sure there'll be plenty of opportunity before the season's over though Wink

Are you mad kv?
Sissoko played better than usual but Jan got 10 out of 10 for me.
Agree their supporters are loud, not jumping up and down so much this time though.
I was up the other end so less annoying.
