The Haller Mystery. Apparently we have missed a payment and his former club have reported us to FIFA.☹️
By:
According to reports Lampard is interested in Rice for next season but this would be disastrous for the club and must not be allowed to happen if we have any ambitions for the future.
By:
All about ambition
Rice wants it he go If not he be club captain probably play as long as noble as Be mr westham And club legend |
By:
Antonio 3rd match in a week not ideal but Bowen and Yarmo start. 2 widemen is positive. COYI.
By:
Hopeless up top
Hopeless at the back too All we did fire the ball into box Time time again Most of the balls in where piss poor 3 steps forward Than 3 back Sum up westham |
By:
Disappointing tonight but beaten by a side who I thought I heard the commentator say was their 14th 1-0 win this season. If only we could defend like that!
By:
Did what we had to do today and did it well.
Congratulations to Antonio for his 4 goals. |
By:
bottom 3 look doomed now ...
By:
Villa haven't won in like 15 games? 2 points from a possible 33 past 11 games as well I think
They'd need to win all 4 games to have a chance of staying up... |
By:
Where going to need spend wise In next
Window If where to avoid this again season |
By:
I would be lying if I said I was a fan of Moyes but he he likes to turn widemen into bloody good CFs. 1st there was Arnie and now Antonio.
By:
9 goals in our last 4 games and we missed a load of sitters against Burnley. That's an average of over 2 goals per game not bad considering Moyes is thought to be a negative manager.
By:
Our next game is against Watford. Come kick off I can see the draw trading very low. Shades of West Germany vs Austria 1982 aka the disgrace of Gijon methinks.

Pellegrini has been appointed manager of Betis. Underachievers with a really gifted squad. Big Willy Carvalho, Fekir yes please. It should provide clues as to why he didn't do well here. Outdated manager? or maybe GSB are not good owners to work for if you have ambition. I Iook on with interest.
By:
All I know is Pellegrini wasted 180 million and left us in the relegation places.
By:
I can't argue with that sparrow.

Another decent performance last night with the game nicely sewn up by half time. Hard work put in all by all of the players with an incredible goal from Declan Rice to complete a great first half by the team. Would love another great effort against Man Utd such as the 1994/5 one which prevented them from winning the league.
Does anyone know if Fredericks is injured with him not being included yesterday? |
By:
Relax now play with freedom against Man U
So only getting beat few goals be ok rather than thumping Hope in summer we get rid of **** on the books Wiltshire Anderson’s few others that don’t cut it |
By:
Injured ,sparrow.
By:
Thanks, penzance. A player who I like to see in the team regularly.
By:
Regarding Man Utd I would be delighted with a draw and even happier with the win.
I have more faith in the team than to expect a "thumping" |
By:
sparrow, you always said from 6 months ago that Moyes would do his utmost to rally the players into shape, he has been rewarded and you kept the faith, most supporters don't look at the big picture, what did West Ham supporters expect this season, next season will tell if their buying and the fresh start will show if Moyes can be as good as he was at Everton, hope so. he never stood a chance at Man Utd. and everybody knows it. cheers.

The bairn.......All I ever wanted after Moyes saved us from relegation the first time was for him to stay and be given the sort of budget that was given to Pellegrini but the fans and the board as ever weren't satisfied. A successful team takes time to build and it doesn't happen overnight and as a supporter since the mid 1950s I will continue to dream of a challenge for the title which is something I only ever saw once in the 84/85 season.
By:
* should have read 85/86 season.
By:
not a lover of Moyes, myself. One thing
though, when Rice scored they all ran over to him.Players seem to like him, big plus that. |
By:
Well done to the team for tonights draw at Old Trafford and a special mention to Bowen who caused our opponents no end of trouble. We defended really well and fully deserved the point.
By:
Played well tonight
Unless they get on The beach As where mathematically safe Villa will find it hard To beat us Noble showing up likes of Anderson In that free role What we paid 33 mil for Not worth 3 imo |
By:
Rice going to be hard to keep hold of
If that Centre half for man crappy 80mil To go bye |
By:
Westham not lifted a leg today
Villa are dog **** give them another season |
By:
Reina didnt have a shot to save, there was no
sustained pressure what so ever.At home safe, opponents under all the pressure,Moyes, one negative manager. |
By:
It sticks in my craw that we didn't relegate those brummie mugs. In a nothing game Moyes could have been more expansive but he is what he is. Great job on keeping us up and scouting Bowen and Soucek.

West Ham's Albian Ajeti set to join Celtic on loan as Moyes begins clear out
Ajeti is set to move to Celtic on loan after struggling to impress since joining West Ham for £8m last summer. David Moyes is ready to cut his losses on the Swiss striker, who hopes to revive his career in Scotland after enduring a year to forget since leaving Basel. Ajeti ended his first season at West Ham without a goal to his name and having failed to start a single Premier League game. Ajeti was supposed to provide cover for Sébastien Haller after joining West Ham, who needed to reshape their attack after losing Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll and Javier Hernández last summer, but he has rarely looked up to the required standard. Manuel Pellegrini barely used the 23-year-old, restricting him to two starts in the League Cup and a handful of cameo appearances in the league, and the 23-year-old’s situation has not improved since the Chilean was replaced as manager by Moyes in December. Any hopes Ajeti had of a fresh opportunity under Moyes disappeared after he failed to impress after being handed a rare start when West Ham lost to West Brom in the FA Cup in January. He would not feature again until making his ninth and final substitute appearance in the league during West Ham’s 1-0 defeat to Burnley this month. Moyes, who has helped West Ham narrowly avoid relegation, does not have any place for Ajeti in his long-term plans. The Scot is keen to move players on this summer – there are doubts over the futures of Felipe Anderson, Fabian Balbuena, Manuel Lanzini, Arthur Masuaku and Andriy Yarmolenko – and Ajeti is likely to be the first out the door. Ajeti has looked ill suited to the physicality of English football, though he has represented Switzerland at international level and played in the Champions League for Basel. Celtic will aim to rebuild the forward’s talent and it is understood that they could sign him for £5m next year if he impresses on loan. |

David Moyes has, once again, guided West Ham clear of relegation. The big difference this time, though, is he now gets to show he can do more.
Back in 2018, at the end of a short six-month contract, Moyes was shown the doors by a Hammers board looking for a glitzier name in the dugout. Manuel Pellegrini came in on a huge contract. Pellegrini's reign, which saw eye-watering sums spent, ended 18 months later with the club one place above the bottom three. Moyes was drafted back in. There was no lack of intent or ambition from the ownership, but their faith and funds were misplaced in the likes of Mario Husillos, the sporting director appointed by Pellegrini. There is still time for Felipe Anderson, if not sold this summer, and Sebastian Haller to come good, but the choice of Roberto as the reserve goalkeeper is viewed ultimately as the move which cost Pellegrini his job following Lukasz Fabianski's injury. Moyes wants to reshape the club in his vision. He is creating a clear profile of the type of player who will deliver and is keen to appoint a head of recruitment to help deliver such signings. He recently told Standard Sport: "We would like to strengthen in a lot of areas. We’re lacking in defensive cover. We’re also looking to see who could move on because that could change the direction we take during the transfer window. “The owners have spent a lot of money in the last few years and I’m not sure a similar amount will be available this time. Whatever there is, though, we will spend it wisely. Gone are the days of breaking club records for players on a punt. Moyes' idea of a West Ham target has been clear since he arrived and on show in January with the highly successful additions of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek. Young talents who will bring hunger and energy to a side, no luxury players just yet. That's not to say every signing will be an up-and-coming talent from the Championship, Moyes wants to add a jot of experience at the back. He has little faith in Fabian Balbuena and while Declan Rice can be deployed at the back, Moyes wants to build his side around the England international. Eventually, Moyes wants a shift in the playing style, too; something which fans were given a glimpse of following the restart in rampant performances against Norwich and in the first half against Watford. When they get going, the Hammers can be a real threat. The former Manchester United manager is perhaps unfairly lumped in with some of the more antiquated managers in English football - many expect dull, dreary football from his side. But with talents such as Bowen, a fully fit Michail Antonio and the returning Grady Diangana, there is a certain flair going forward, built on a base of Rice and Soucek. If enough money can be brought in through sales - Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Albian Ajeti are all in the shop window - Moyes will look to add some more creativity and balance to his squad. Said Benrahma, Eberechi Eze and Antonee Robinson are all of interest. Expectations are, sensibly, restricted by Moyes. For years the owners promised a bright, European future in the London Stadium. Only disappointment has been delivered. Moyes has taken a certain divine inspiration since lockdown, citing the former Archbishop of York with his pledge to "promise less and deliver more" as he eyes a steady climb up the Premier League. The squad at his disposal is not one that should be battling relegation, but plans to become an established top-six club are extremely premature, and he knows it. The vision has logic and the form in July - which including beating Chelsea and earning a point at Old Trafford - show that it can work. However, Moyes knows the board must back him wholeheartedly for it to work. If not, many fear that the club will simply never kick on. |

Not really G Hall as it's just an article from the London Evening Standard which I often read for West Ham news.

West Ham are confident of agreeing a new deal with Michail Antonio and plan to reward the forward’s excellent late-season form with a pay rise.
While Antonio has a year left on his deal, West Ham are relaxed about the situation as they have an option to trigger a two-year extension. However, the 30-year-old is in line for improved terms after helping the east London club to win their fight to stay in the Premier League, scoring eight goals in his last nine games to help lift David Moyes’s side to safety. Antonio earns around £70,000 a week, which puts him below West Ham’s highest-paid players. Felipe Anderson, Jack Wilshere, Andriy Yarmolenko and Sebastien Haller are on deals worth in the region of £100,000 a week. It is understood Anderson, who is up for sale this summer, earns around £115,000 a week. The Brazilian winger has lost his place under Moyes, who is looking to raise his transfer budget by selling players who have fallen out of favour. Antonio does not fall into that category and although West Ham are not in a rush to conclude negotiations, it is expected that talks will go smoothly. While Antonio knows his next deal is an important one because of his age, he does not want to leave the London Stadium. The versatile forward, who scored 10 goals in total last season, has been a popular figure since joining West Ham for £7m from Nottingham Forest in 2015. West Ham, who are rivalling Crystal Palace for the Queens Park Rangers forward Eberechi Eze, remain adamant Declan Rice will not be sold to Chelsea this summer. While they are likely to have to make sales before bringing in new signings, they are determined not to raise funds by selling Rice. One player on his way out is Albian Ajeti, who is set to join Celtic after turning down the chance to sign for Brentford. The Swiss striker, who joined West Ham for £8m from Basel last summer, will join the Scottish champions for £4.5m. |

Stuart Pearce has returned to West Ham as part of David Moyes’s coaching team. The deal comes eight months after Pearce suggested that West Ham’s board blocked the manager’s attempts to recruit him after replacing Manuel Pellegrini in December.
“West Ham United is pleased to confirm that Stuart Pearce has returned to the club as a first team coach and will work alongside Kevin Nolan and Paul Nevin, who have also signed new contracts,” a club statement said. The former England left-back was part of Moyes’s backroom staff during the Scot’s first spell at the London Stadium and was critical of the club for hiring Pellegrini instead of the former Everton manager in May 2018. “They’ve decided not to go down the David [Moyes] route,” Pearce said at the time. “I was a little surprised by that as I saw first-hand what a good job he did in a situation that could have gone either way.” Pearce suggested those comments had not gone down well with West Ham’s hierarchy this year. Moyes, who was already working with Alan Irvine, ended up bringing in Nevin and Nolan instead. Moyes was still keen to further beef up his staff, however, and Pearce has cleared the air with West Ham’s board, paving the way for a return. “I’ve spoken directly with David Sullivan and Karren Brady and I had extremely positive conversations with both of them,” Pearce said. “They were enthusiastic about me returning. It says a lot about them that I’m at West Ham again. I wouldn’t be back if I didn’t believe in the strategy in place to take this great football club forward.” “I’m really pleased to welcome Stuart back,” Moyes said. “He will start immediately and I’ve no doubt he will be a great asset to us on the training pitch and in the dressing room next season.” The club are hopeful of signing the Brighton central defender Shane Duffy, who is also a target for Burnley, Celtic and West Brom. Last week, the full-back Jeremy Ngakia joined Watford after his Hammers contract expired. |
