Saw the market now. Rangers only hope is that the other two teams in their group both drawn.
|
|
By:
A horrid market I may add but no surprise if Rangers wake up.
|
|
By:
Poor start but the other teams drawing eased the pain a bit.
Lyon at home to Brondy next and would expect Lyon to win that. We're away to Sparta Prague and we need to get something there. |
|
By:
Not up to CL standard but the prize money is still substantial.
£3.6m for reaching the group stages already in the bank. £630k for a win and £210k for a draw in the group games. The group winner gets a further £1.1m and the runners-up £550k. |
|
By:
Ryan Kent out for 4 weeks and Alfredo struggling to be fit for tomorrow.
Not sure on the Janis Hagi situation but hopefully he'll be available after isolating. |
|
By:
3rd place goes through to the conference playoffs
substantial prize money in that too, similary to the europa |
|
By:
is 3m for group stage in the conference for example, only 1/6 less than the europea
|
|
By:
We laughed at the Conference league.
Might be our target unless we get something against Sparta Prague at the end of the month. |

I never realised the prize money was that good.
|
|
By:
the main difference between the two competitions is the Champions League spot for Europa League winner
fewer teams from big countries in the conference too unless you have a realistic chance of winning the Europa League it doesn't matter a great deal which of the two you are in |
|
By:
probably affects coefficent points and seeding in the champions league qualifiers too, more points if you are in the EL
but the CL qualifiers are tough no matter who you play, not sure seeding makes an enormous difference |
|
By:
celtic have shown in recent years that CL football is above our level.
I was happy with our EL runs in the past 3 seasons but winning that would still be a difficult task. |

An unhappy camp is the rumour, 'Scout leader' Stevie G despondent at the lack of money made available for transfers, several 'Cubs' disheartened that their hopes of escaping Ibrox failed to come to fruition and the board sweating on how to combat the upcoming traditional annual 20m loss. There may be trouble ahead

cabbage gonna win the league this year

Denying the access of broadcasters and journalists to the inner sanctum of Ibrox is merely fuelling the rumours that sevco have something to hide

Disappointing to only draw today but it could have been worse.
... we could have lost 1-0 to the bottom team. Top of the league. Normality resumed. |

Oh the irony!!...nobody likes us we don't bare..and they wonder why...a unionist club banning a unionist broadcaster!!

Question for sevco supporters ( intelligent answers only,so this rules out aka ), Where are you going to get the £15-20 Million required to bankroll you this season? This was supposed to be generated from player sales but, understandably, other clubs don't want to deal with a financially untrustworthy outfit like sevco, the share issues have been exhausted and the board have rung every single penny out their gullible fan base, so where is the money going to come from to fill the pending black hole in your books

Well if either of them are having trouble getting into Ibrox, I'll be happy to DOUBLE-JAB both the silly coonts

We need three new players Joe, as seen against Motherwell but that said, Celtic weren't too clever yesterday but I don't want to win the league by default.
|
|
By:
What positions do you think we need strengthened Stew?
|
|
By:
I always find it amazing how celtic supporters get so obsessed with Rangers.
You would almost think they are trying to divert attention away from their own club. I wonder why that is? Can't quite put my finger on it. Anyways we should thank them for their free expert financial advice. |

Just noticed this:
Irvine Meadow X1 FC. Have they always had the X1 in their name? TheMightyMac will know. Maybe sadjoe as well ![]() |
