surely getting into the CL was a long shot

even if they beat malmo they had another qualifying round after that

both rounds would probbaly be 50/50

Rangers / Malmo / Olympiacos not a lot between them

100% correct Joe, when celtic didn't make or did make champions league in last 10 years, there was very fine moments in all ties, when it could have went either way.

I never seen match tonight but from what I've heard sevco got some dodgy decisions in their favour and couldn't take the good opportunity presented to them.

I think Slippy wil resign although I hope not.

looks like the walls are tumbling down, next the sudden departure of whoever Rangers can get out the door and then the agony of having a 25 point winning margin reversed. Looking bleak for Rangers fans.

2 league games in, you for real Luke Laugh
Will need to be a few players moved on but thats just the reality of Scottish football.
Morelos will sadly go and I think Kent, not been great so far this season, and possibly Goldson who seems reluctant to sign his new contract will leave.
SG now facing another big test of his managerial abilities after this poor start to the season.
As regards who will win the league don't be fooled by celtics 6-0 thrashing of Dundee. They started with a 5-1 demolishing of Hamilton last season remember.

Sevco could face a 9,000 mile round trip to Almaty in Kazakhstan for the 2nd leg of their Europa tie (if Almaty should win tomorrow) just days before the first Old Firm game of the season. It doesn't look to be getting any easier for the lily-livered lads in lilac Laugh

Rangers to meet Armenian side Alashkert in the Europa League play-off.
We have reached the group stages for the last 3 seasons, qualified for the knock-out stages in the last 2 and did okay financially from it.

Rangers lose their 3rd round CL "champions path" tie and go into the final qualifying round of the Europa League

but the losers in the 3rd round CL "league path" (which Celtic would have been in) go straight into the group stages of the CL

what's that all about?

if celtic had beaten Midtjylland in the 2nd round, and the lost to PSV in the 3rd round, they would have straight into teh group stages of the EL

but Rangers would have to play a fourth round tie

surely it should be the other way around

3.6 million minimum for making the group stage

plus money for wins and draws, and gate receipts

actually not a big difference to conference league (2.9 million)

I'm sure it will be handy money for SEVCO, 100 EUROS would be handy when you are totally skint Joe.

I sympathise with you, hope you're social cheque isn't late any week, don't go begging as you might get mistaken as a foreigner.

Stay safe.
