Plucky Arsenal sneak a draw at Ibrox.
(Maybe a Rangers supporting journalist wrote that headline) Balogun opened the scoring in the 14th minute with Arsenal hittint the equaliser in the 23rd minute through Taveres. Itten restored Rangers lead on 75 minutes before Nketiah levelled on the 83rd minute. Neither Kent nor Morelos were involved. Hopefully just a precaution. |

Just watched the highlights on Rangers tv, looked a decent game.
Rangers could have went 3-1 up when Glenn Middleton, who had a good game, passed to Stephen Kelly who, with only the keeper to beat, fired the ball straight at him. |

Premiership winners Rangers will face Malmo or HJK Helsinki in the Champions League third qualifying round.
Good draw and one which we'll be favourites to qualify from. First leg on the 3rd or 4th of August with the return leg on the 10th. Extra time and penalties if required. The Blackpool friendly has been called off because a number of players in the Blackpool squad proved positive for Covid. |

Transfer speculation
Nikola Katic has refused a loan deal saying he wants to stay at Ibrox and fight for a first team place. Leeds Utd have renewed their interest in Ryan Kent and Kai Kennedy has agreed to join Dunfermline on loan after Rangers rejected a £1m bid from West Ham. Alfredos future uncertain according to SG. He won't be allowed to leave unless Rangers valuation of him is met. |

Another win for Rangers B and another clean sheet.
1-0 in Falkirk against East Stirlingshire (ignore the bbc website - they've got it wrong yet again). Leaves us top of the league, on goal difference, after 3 games with a maximum 3 points. |

Despite tomorrows glamour friendly against Real Madrid SG fielded his entire first team squad, excluding Morelos who has just returned from Copa America and McGregor, against EPL side Brighton and Hove Albion.
The match ended 0-0 with Rangers creating loads of chances the best of which was a Lundstram strike which hit the woodwork. Hagi did have the ball in the net near the end but the referee disallowed it for a foul in the build up. Shane Duffy got a rousing reception in his return to Ibrox. Thanks for the memories Shane. |

Great victory at Ibrox today with Rangers coming from behind to beat Real Madrid 2-1.
Part of the DR match report: Rangers shocked the mighty Real Madrid in a stellar Ibrox showing as Cedric Itten reprised his super-sub role. The Swiss striker had the last laugh as his late strike handed Steven Gerrard's men a deserved win. Real had taken the lead in the first half through Rodrigo despite that lucky effort proving their only shot of note in the entire first 45. Gets would go on to have bags of chances with Ryan Kent smashing the crossbar from a couple of yards out and visiting keeper Andriy Lunin producing some special saves. But when the second half followed the same pattern a home goal was inevitable and Fashion Sakala grabbed his first in blue when he smashed home on 55 minutes. Champions League winner Nacho was shown a second yellow card by Willie Callum near the end and minutes later the home side made their advantage count. A set-piece wasn’t cleared by Madrid and it dropped to Itten to fire home and send an increased Ibrox attendance wild. |

didn't know he was ill Aka, sleep easy Ally. RIP
|

By:
I never knew that either.
Just listened to Paul Cooney and Barry Ferguson. Fergie said he only found out he was ill 3 or 4 weeks ago. Seemed a quiet guy. |

He was a great friend of Barry's brother and Durranty back in the day.

HJK Helsinki - Malmo
correct score 2-2 |
|
By:
Malmo played a lot more competitive football than Rangers as their league is well under way but I still think Rangers will be too much for them.
Was a great performance against Real Madrid and 4-1 or 5-1 would have been a truer reflection of the game. Guiseppe what odds would you be looking for? |
|
By:
first leg in Sweden
will be backing Malmo at anything over 1.15 |
|
By:
Is that for Rangers -2?
|
|
By:
Rangers B lost to Civil Service Strollers 3-1 but remain joint top of the league with CSS and Dalbeattie Star on 9 points albeit DS have played a game fewer.
Next up its celtics B team, who are joint second bottom with 1 point from 2 games played, away |
|
By:
probably your best chance of a trophy this season
|
|
By:
The Champions League?
Don't think so, semi finals the target. |

George Edmundson, who Rangers paid £650k for from Oldham, has joined Ipswich for just over £1m.
A decent defender but he failed to claim a permanent place in the Rangers defence and spent last season out on loan to Derby. Frees up a wage as well. |
|
By:
Real Madrid reported that over 5.5m people tuned into the Official Real Madrid TV Station to watch the Rangers game.
Thats close to the population of Scotland. Everybody wants to see the Rangers. |
|
By:
I heeard they usually get 10m for their friendlies
|
|

I keep meaning to ask you Guiseppe were you six two the stomach with that West Ham result?
