As yet to be confirmed but reports suggest that Jake Hastie the Motherwell winger has agreed a pre-contract deal with Rangers for 3 years.
Rumours also of a move for the Blackburn midfielder Dack. |

Hastie a done deal according to reports. I know Plat has gone but surely not trilby?

Same as in England the Youth Cup Final was shown live on BBC tonight for the first time.
Rangers beat celtic 3-2. |
|
By:
Good result for Rangers they seem to be improving their youth set up. I watched Celtic Academy U14s in Dublin against WBA on Friday, beat 1 nil but best team won easy. Celtic weren't very good and this is not boys club, they more or less train full time and have full time Celtic FC coaches, I think it was ex player McNally in charge.

A well deserved major title for Steven!!!!
|
|
By:
2-0 going on 8. Tavernier robbed of a hattrick, replays showed he was clearly onside.
Interesting as always kennybhoy but it was a cup and not a title. Did you mean trophy? |
|
By:
Rangers interested in Croatian Mirko Maric the 23 yo striker currently with NK Osijer.
|
|
By:
Watched the Glasgow Cup final live on rangers tv.
Exact opposite of the Youths final. celtic 2-0 up at HT with Rangers pulling them back to 2-2 before conceding a late winner. Decent game with some good football. |
|
By:
No news yet of leavers but I expect Eros Grezda, Kyle Lafferty, Gareth McAuley to follow Lee Wallace and Wes Foderingham out the door.
Glen Middleton and Lassana Coulibaly possible could also join them along with most of the players out on loan. |

Renovating the stadium works commenced today.
All the panels in the towers being replaced as a starter. Shouldn't be a lot required with £5m spent last close season on repairs etc. Club cash rich thanks to the EL cash, ST sales and, with packed houses each game, cash at the turnstyles. |
|
By:
I won't be watching the cup final but I've taken a chance that it might be a close game so I've bet a sending off and a penalty to be taken
Obviously if celtic are running away with it then it probably won't happen but if it's a close game then both bets would be odds on. |

More than 43,000 Rangers supporters have already renewed their Season Tickets.
Some of the fringe players punted and a few additions already signed, augers well for next season. @outpost celtic struggling to get into the game until the 'never a penalty' award. Referee assisted victory yet again. Still on the plus side they've knocked back Mourinho, Benitez, Villas Boas and Moyes and kept Lennon. Every cloud as they say. |
|
By:
I hope Gerrard does an Ole.......pick five players and tell the rest they can leave if offers come in. Ole only picked three....apparently.
|
|
By:
glad lennon's staying but I wouldn't be surprised if it's already been agreed between celtic, the refs, and the SFA that celtic will get their 10 in a row, if you look at the help they received this season from both.

Steven Davis has signed on in a permanent deal and joins Jordan jones and Jake Harvie the other signings.
SG still busy and offers are in for a few English based players, one a defender the other an attacker. On the negative side SG expects bids for Tavernier (most effective player in Scotland last season) and Southampton are interested in Arfield. Arfield had a great season and ran all over the celtic midfield in our two victories at Ibrox. I don't think that Morelos will go unless someone meets Rangers asking price which is doubtful given his disciplinary record. |
|
By:
Apollon Limassol ready to make a bid for Kyle Lafferty, don't think we'll be hard to deal with on this transfer. Been a poor signing.
Aston Villa showing an interest in Tavernier. Not sure what price tag Rangers have put on him but it should be substantial. If Kent goes, and its looking more likely, we have Candeias on the right wing not been getting a start so a little reshuffle of the midfield to accommodate him is needed. Candeias underrated and as good as anyone else in Scotland. |
|
By:
Aka what was your take on Kent last season will he be missed if he goes.
You forgot to mention rangers best signing so far neil Lennon got to be worth 12/15 points |
|
By:
Candeias most underrated player in Scotland.
|
|
By:
Kent obviously a decent player but goes missing for long spells.
Candeias more consistent and just as skilful albeit on the right. I think Kent will be sold and we won't be able to afford him. I see Dorrans another likely to be classed as surplus to requirements and think Barisic will be sold. Lennon cannot control his temper under pressure and that doesn't go down well with the players especially those from overseas. |
|
By:
Rangers have had a third bid for George Edmundson of Oldham turned down.
£600k plus add-ons but not good enough for the 21yo defender. Grezda has asked for talks over his future. Another that will be allowed to go I think. Seen the reports that Newcastle are interested in Morelos. If the figure is correct he'll be gone. |

It wont be easy for him given his financial situation but he HAS to get rid of the dead wood and keep the 5 or 6 players on the books that we need. If not, it will be a quadruple treble....easily. |

* Any Gers fan fancy another season out of Defoe or Lafferty?
Two poultices of the highest order and that's putting it mildly. |
|
By:
I said at the time that we would be better taking naismith over lafferty despite some fans still hating naismith for things that happened years ago.
naismith is a much more effective all round player, both at scoring and creating goals. just ask scott brown. lafferty is one of the few strikers that he hasn't kicked or elbowed or tried to get sent off this season, probably because he would likely get replaced by somebody better. |
|
By:
I would like to have seen Naismith signed.
Said that on here preseason. Lafferty was a gamble, but a cheap one, that didn't pay off. Defoe has done well since he's signed with goals and assists. Hopefully we'll keep him for next season especially if Morelos goes.. If the Newcastle rumour is anywhere near right then Morelos will be off. Not sure who'll replace him. Anyone heard any names? I know Shankland has been on the radar for months but hes one for the future. We'll need a proven scorer and they won't be cheap. |
|
By:
Aye I'm sure Mike Ashley will be giving King £20 million
![]() Nobody is paying silly money for him or Tavernier for looking great in the shiitey SPFL, despite Traynor getting his minnions to invent pretend interest at pretend prices. As Gerrard said they had one bid for Morelos for 3 million euros. That's it. Cosgrove was one goal behind Morelos and he'd never scored a goal in professional football before he went to Aberdeen ![]() Anyway if they've got any sense instead of trying to flog him they should keep him for at least another season. With the bonkers appointment of Lennon across the City they will never have a better chance of winning the league. |
|
By:
Morelos one of the best young prospects currently playing and certainly the best in Scotland.
With the money being poured into English football I wouldn't be surprised if a big bid comes in for him and Tavernier who has goal and assist stats that any forward would be proud of. BTW Gees am I right in thinking you are a Dun Utd fan? Would explain your constant bad mood on here. Going up? not this year. Again. ![]() |

celtic fans will believe anything Liewell tells them.

Dundee Utd? What are you talking about? You are literally imagining things now
![]() Morelos has done nothing of note that really matters. Nothing against Celtic, nothing in Europe and his only contribution for the national team is to miss an open goal from 2 yards out. Scoring four against the likes of Hamilton doesn't equate to big money bids. Same goes for Tavernier hence the fantasy transfer fees and interest in the desperate hope some club will be stupid enough to pay over the odds. They will not. Also no one is buying Scott Arfield for 3 million now when they could of had him for nothing last season. More Traynor inspired bollax. |
|
By:
You really need to put your bias to one side Gees.
Scott Arfield ran all over the celtic midfield in the 2 Ibrox games. Joint 5th goalscorer alongside Forrest and Brophy. Came into his own in the 2nd half of the season. You're right on that one, £3m not enough. Morelos, Tavernier and Arfield combined. What do you think? £30m+? |
|
By:
Arfield did dominate those games along with the rest of the Rangers midfield. Has he suddenly improved massively as a player though to warrant a big transfer fee?
He was in England for eight years, they could see what he could do. He was available for free and they didn't want him. Do you think they are thinking 'wow look at how much that 30 year old has improved in one season in Scotland. How has he suddenly become so much better? It can't be that he's still the same player we saw but is now playing in a bog standard league can it? Same goes for Tavernier. Years bouncing around the English leagues hardly getting a game comes up here and he's the new Cafu. Whilst clubs may take a gamble on him as his stats are ridiculous, he has a tremendous engine and he does put in a fabulous cross they will be wary of signing another Alan Hutton. In my opinion Arfield is an excellent player up here, Morelos is superb on his game with so much potential and Tavernier may have just improved out of all recognition but whether teams down South will risk big money on players excelling in Scotland I doubt it. They usually want to see them do it in Europe or internationally but I suppose there is that much money swimming around it maybe worth the risk. |
|
By:
So if you asked me what fees they will go for
Arfield - Nothing. No one is buying a 30 year old from Scottish football. Tavernier - £4 million at the most. Morelos - £8 million but probably more like 6. |
|
By:
I can see bigger fees than that, both would do a job for newly promoted teams to the Premier league
|
|
By:
The problem with speculating with transfers fees is that we look at it from a Scottish perspective.
There is so much money pouring into the English game that clubs can afford to gamble and will pay inflated fees. The bottom club in the EPL gets more than the whole of Scottish football gets. |
