Newcastle United will face an away tie against Fleetwood Town in this season's Carabao Cup quarter-finals should they defeat Everton in Thursday night's fourth round tie.
The Magpies aim to reach the last-eight stage of the competition for a fifth consecutive campaign when facing David Moyes' side at the Hill Dickinson Stadium (kick-off 7:45pm GMT). Their reward, should they prevail against the Toffees, will be an away clash against Fleetwood Town after the League Two side beat Arsenal via penalties after a 1-1 draw in last night's Round Four tie. The quarter-final matches will take place on the week commencing Monday, 14th December. |
By:
Poor defending twice has cost us twice
need an early goal 2nd half to put the pressure on them |
|
By:
Enough chances early on, failure to put them away costing us.
Dedic at fault bigtime for their first and three or four switched off for the second. Same old same old innit. Oh and that 3rd kit is a piece of owld s hite. |

Stramash, ref not great
|
|
By:
Top and bottom of it is; they took their chances and we didn't. Everton's petty tactics worked well by little niggly fouls and the ref not booking them earlier worked well for them; we'll see what happens on Monday

Thats right Bish woeful finishing and decision making up top.I do think we are improving however, very slowly but we are.i know i will get pelters for saying that but with new stronger tougher personnel added hopefully,i think we will improve.Without naming anyone i feel we all know which ones arent up to it.
|
|
By:
Playing like that is pretty random and
xG was about 2 each, but if you make errors then xG is oot the window and get nowt. Doubt var would have given the pelanty, but that's a 2 goal swing... |
|
By:
Same stuff worked v palace on sunday(just)
Some of the players are good enough but seem poor at handling pressure, leading to poor execution or bad errors. I'd agree with 19 that we are playing a bit better, but it's dice rolling not football at times |
|
By:
Donny agreeing with pointer, I nearly choked on my co co pops.
Pointer not naming names ? Who is this new version of 19pts ? |
|

Watch the second goal last night and see Dedics effort. He ran a across and tried to tackle the lad running forward,to say if was powderpuff would be generous. He the ran back into centre halves position in box who had gone across to cover,as the lad ran towards box he then ran towards him totally leaving a massive gap for them to run into and score with a free header.Amateur at best.

Everton striker Thierno Barry's home was BURGLED while he was playing in his team's Carabao Cup victory against Newcastle!
The 24-year-old was on the pitch scoring in Everton's 3-1 win when thieves broke into the home he shares with his girlfriend Charlene and their ONE-YEAR-OLD daughter. His partner described the incident as an “extremely distressing and violating experience” and has offered a FINANCIAL REWARD for information that helps identify those responsible. Just ONE MONTH earlier, Charlene had shared a TikTok video showing their collection of expensive designer handbags inside their walk-in wardrobe. |
