I'd say we've been fortunate so far. Slovenia have barely look interested and our formation has our midfield miles away from our isolated strikers. Griffiths looking injured is another worry.

I've baled on the lay at HT, and taken a hefty red. Slovenia not at the races and the HT news from Slovakia seals the deal.
2-1 scoreline might still rescue me but looks a long long shot now. |

Definitely. The worry is as the game goes on at 0-1 we go deeper and deeper and they will push more and more forward. We've mostly just booted the ball away, at some point maybe get Forrest on who can run 50 yards with the ball. He won't do anything with it but he'll get us up the pitch and pushed the defence out from our goal hopefully.

I would maybe look at getting a 3rd midfielder on. Ilicic especially has looked a threat 30 yards from goal centrally and we could do with closing that space

James McArthur I don't even know how he's had the career he has. He does nothing, can't pass no energy no speed. Bannan might look good in the championship and can pass a wee bit but again has no pace or energy. Get McGregor on whose full of energy and a goal threat, or McGinn who can run with the ball from midfield or Forrest who has pace to burn and might get lucky.

That miss by Fletcher sums it up terrible miss all he had to do was keep it underneath the cross bar,one thing to concentrate on when connecting but no amateurishly whacking it high and mighty whereby there lad although he did not have to contend with a bouncing ball cooly slots hit home along the deck.
