colupaul13 Mar 26 22:20Joined: 02 Sep 03 | Topic/replies: 3,780 | Blogger: colupaul's blog Agreed, very disappointing… I’d be interested to see the stats with no Mbick in the team, wouldn’t be too far off relegation… plenty to look at tomorrow Foun, I’m sure you can eek out some value somewhere… Good morning, Colupaul. For sure I'll be backing Thun again and Kings suggestion of Leicester BTTS looks sound, but I want to get back on track before making any significant outlays. Good luck today. |

A small profit from my early games
Another 6 bets for the 3pm games Millwall @ 2.0 Cardiff @ 1.8 Bradford @ 2.28 Asian Handicap: Sheff Utd +0.25 goals @ 2.1 Burnley +0.50 goals @ 2.13 Over 2.5 goals: Leyton Orient v Peterborough @ 1.74 Good luck All |

Back three aways equals three home wins
well, that’s me done for a few weeks, well done any winners today, cheers y’all… |

It looks like we are into the silly season, colupaul. Yesterday wasn't as bad as I feared. Leicester BTTS won (thanks to Kingscrewed) and super Thun delivered in style. Less happily for me the Chesterfield jinx showed up again and I didn't back it.
Just two relatively short priced bets for me, Midtjylland at around 1.5 (hopefully not too fatigued against Forest the other day) and Lausanne Sport v Young Boys BTTS again around 1.5 but hopefully better prices in running. Good luck all. |

Some long awaited winners have eventually turned up for me, hoping I can have a couple more today and avoid wiping out my weekend profit
In the Dynamo Dresden v P Munster game (k.o. 12:30), I couldn’t decide whether to go for BTTS @ 1.83 or Over 2.5 @ 2.04, so I’ve decided to go for both bets I’ve also gone for: Palace @ 2.6 & Nottm Forest v Fulham DRAW @ 3.5 I’ve also got a couple of selections in Denmark Midtjylland, down to 1.45 now, so might try an AH bet with -1 goal @ 1.67 also fancy Both teams to score Odense BK v FC Copenhagen @ 1.57 Good Luck All |
|
By:
While the winners continue to come in I’ve got to try a couple of bets tonight
Cambuur @ 1.81 Asian Handicap: Derby +0.25 goals @ 2.02 Good Luck All |
|
By:
Well done OTH, that draw helped a lot. Another blank for me, Midtjylland must have been feeling the effects of the mid-week game. Good luck with Cambuur, I think that game will produce goals (over 2.5) but I'm not playing.
The question today is do we back or oppose Brentford? Wolves are much improved recently and maybe the giant killing will continue. Brentford are easy to oppose at 1.62 so I have layed them. I'm hoping Derby can score against Portsmouth and will try BTTS again.1.98 |

Another couple of winners yesterday, 6 more bets for tonight
Wimbledon @ 2.42 Grimsby @ 2.04 Bradford @ 2.02 Double on 2 short priced selections: Bolton /Salford @ 2.31 Both teams to score: Cardiff v Wycombe @ 1.75 Asian Handicap: Wrexham +0.25 goals @ 1.95 Foin’, No goals for Portsmouth last night, but had plenty of chances with 27 attempts at goal with 9 on target!!, I didn’t see the game so don’t know how close they were to actually scoring Dragon, enjoy your break Good Luck if having any bets tonight |
|

The lay of Brentford was a decent bet around 13/8 so I made a profit overall. Pompey mounted plenty of attacks but had few real scoring chances. About halfway through the second half I decided that scoring was unlikely so levelled out at a loss before the time value expiry bit too deep.
I've been out all morning so haven't made a final decision about my bets today although I'm tempted by Bristol Rovers. Your mention Salford looks good too and 1.6 isn't too bad a price considering that Barrow looked cooked. Good luck with your selections, I'll confirm mine later. |
|
By:
My two bets today are St Gallen and Bristol Rovers both are just over evens.
Both games look competitive but I'm swayed by the strong home form of both selections. |
|
By:
SCUNTHORPE 19/20 away to Thuro seems a great price tonight chucking in SPARTANS 17/20 thst will do for me.
Gl all |
|
By:
Good luck sizezero. Scunthorpe looks an excellent choice. A long journey for them but even so.
|
|
By:
WD sizezero, both of yours were winners. I followed you with Scunthorpe so thanks for flagging that one.
Bristol Rovers won but St Gallen shipped a 92 minute equaliser. |
|
By:
nice couple of winners there sizezero and unlucky again Foinavon with another late goal conceded (you didn’t lay off? I see St Gallen scored early in first half)
Only 1 winner from me, so tonight I think I’ll go for just the 1 bet on Southampton at odds at around 2.00 but, if I get up to watch the Newcastle game I’ll cover the draw/away win on the AH (I always like a bet on Toon games if I am watching them) Good luck if betting tonight |
|
By:
Better luck today, OTH. Yes I did lay off, I always do around the 88th minute mark in such circumstances. I will run on to the end if on the losing end of a slim margin hoping for a saving goal. A bird in the hand and all that. For the purposes of this thread it's a losing tip as the end result is the only one that counts.
|
|
By:
A winner for you, OTH, well done. I was put off by Norwich's recent form. Nowt worth getting out of bed for today (apart from the sunshine) tomorrow's games look more promising.
|
|
By:
I've backed Vaduz today. They have a formidable home record in the league, unbeaten this season having won 12 from 13.
Yverdon-sport represents strong opposition at this level which explains the price currently around even money. Vaduz won the reverse fixture last October 3-4 so we may see a close high-scoring game again tonight. Good luck with your bets today. |
|
By:
I’ve picked out 2 odds against teams for tonight
Man Utd @ 2.18 Emmen @ 2.04 Foin’ I’ve never looked at the Swiss Challenge league games, but with you posting the above I had a quick look at your selection and they do have an impressive home record and although they scored only 2 in their last 4 games, it wasn’t for the want of trying as they had a total of 57 shots at goal of which 18 were on target, so considering they also kept 4 clean sheets in their last 5 games I think I might have to follow you with their price still around evens (I hope I haven’t jinxed your bet!!!) Good luck All |
|
By:
Not at all, oTH, que sera sera. Be aware that the price reflects the strength of the opposition. Good luck with your selections tonight.
|
|
By:
Time to cash out Vaduz OTH
|
|
By:
Bromley @6/5 against out of form Colchester is a price to go to war with.
|
|
By:
I've already backed Thun for tomorrow, it's currently just under 1.9
|
|
By:
Foin' Well done with another decent priced winner, both of my selections ended up drawing 2-2 after leading well into the 2nd half, but at least I had a bet on your selection which cut my losses. unfortunately i'm not awake for most of these late games due to the time difference, (k.o. around 2-3:00am) so I can't lay off, but I suppose it sometimes works out in my favour.
I just need to pick a few winners today to build up my bank for my bets on Newcastle tomorrow ![]() |
|
By:
Thanks OTH. glad it helped but be aware my fortunes go in cycles like everyone else. My time machine won't engage forward gear at the moment which is a problem. I thought you were in Newcastle but it sounds as if you are in the west Pacific at the moment. Enjoy your holiday.

Morning all apologies as in a rush as on way to the pub and then pride park. Don't like backing us but can't see how Brum are favourites. The rams finally finding a bit of form at home winning last 3 and draw no bet @ 2.06 looks big to me.
Have done over 1.5 ACCA on sportsbook on the 4 prem games today @ 2.5 boosted. Gl all |

Kingscrewed, I am thinking the same about the Derby game, I though maybe I had missed something about Derby, but as you posted just as I finished sorting my early game selections and as you didn’t mention anything about half the team missing through injury!! I will definitely be on them to take at least a draw
Foinavon, you are right about “fortunes go in cycles” and even after 50 years of betting these losing runs still put me on a downer, but hoping my upturn in luck can continue this weekend so fingers crossed for my following 6 selections from the early games. I’m currently in Thailand, but not holidaying, my visits here just became longer and longer till now when I have a holiday I go to Newcastle ![]() Elversberg @ 1.99 Liverpool @ 2.26 Asian Handicap: Derby +0.25 goals @ 1.75 Both teams to score: Blackburn v Middlesbrough @ 1.84 Luton v Stockport @ 1.71 Cambridge v Salford @ 1.97 Good Luck if having a bet today |
|
By:
3 out of 6 from the early games for a small loss
another 5 bets in the 3pm games Southampton @ 1.65 Watford @ 2.1 Asian Handicap: Charlton +0.25 goals @ 2.0 Southampton -1 goal @ 2.17 Over 2.5 goals: Wimbledon v Peterborough @ 1.80 Good Luck All |
|
By:
Well, it had to happen, the good run of fortune with Thun came to an end yesterday.
Today I have backed Randers to beat Silkeborg currently 1.85 |
|
By:
5 out of 11 yesterday, so not too bad
I’ve increased my usual stakes on Newcastle, I’ve convinced myself they will bounce back from their midweek loss and put me into profit for the weekend 4 bets in total today and I’m thinking maybe home wins looking possible in the next two Premier League games, but think I’ll wait and see how big (or small) my bank is after the Toon game!! Newcastle @ 1.61 Feyenoord @ 2.02 Asian Handicap: Newcastle -1 goal @ 2.02 Lyon +0.25 goals @ 1.84 Good luck with today’s bets |
|
By:
Good luck OTH, I see Newcastle are leading, approaching half time.
I'm winding down and minimum stakes as many leagues approach the end of season where form goes out of the window. I'm glad to see Norway in action again but too soon for any sensible analysis. |
|
By:
Well, what can I say after that? that was worse than losing 7-2 to Barcelona, but, on to the next bets
I'l try a couple of smaller bets on Spurs and Villa, then apart from my only horse racing bet on Coup De Coeur in the 3:17 at Carlisle, that's my betting finished for today |
|
By:
Tough at the moment, Randers lost 0-3. As I was saying regarding form
![]() I'm putting my account on ice for the time being. |
|
By:
A couple of games for tonight
