I'm a small player and not ashamed in the slightest.

Although I reckon I could buy a bit of Sevco or whatever the new name will be. But the present shareholders seem to have that sown up Cool

Neil McCann just stated on sky sports that he is not sure if the current Rangers squad can get the job done in the Championship next season?
Unfortunately, he could be correct in his assumption.
Is`nt this a shocking state of affairs for a club like Rangers who have the 2nd largest player budget in Scottish football?
If you were to put Aberdeen or Dundee Utd into the Championship next season, two clubs who dont pay their players near as much as we do, either one of those sides would piss up in that league.
Something is seriously wrong at our club.

mac you're talking about 2 of the top SPL clubs who are 2 divisions above rangers.

rangers could have beaten dundee utd in the cup but for lacking a bit of top class finishing, so they are possibly almost championship class although still a bit below SPL class.

the problem is that 2 SPL sides could be in the championship next season and as it doesn't matter what players are paid but how they can play and mccoist knows that his squad aren't up to SPL class yet so they need to improve to beat these SPL teams.

Playing budget of 8.5 million whilst in division 3 and 2 is a travesty, most players in those divisions would be on 30 quid a week ffs Laugh

Remember when rfc 1872-2012 were liquidated a lot of their supporters were saying how they would build up a warchest for the SPL as they made their way up through the leagues Crazy Delusion confirmed.

Outpost.

The main point was that clubs like the 2 SPFL sides previously mentioned are operating well below us in a fiscal sense squad wise.
As a Gers fan I would prefer us to be paying a young robust mobile centre forward like Nadir Cifti the wages he is on at Dundee Utd, than pay the alleged 7.5k per week for the services of a one dimensional immobile centre forward John Daly.
The other point was we have been getting no where near value for money from our scouting system for years, even when we had one, or our youth development.

@benalder So Peralta crossed himself, so what? Maybe a few fools will take exception but the vast majority are only interested in his footballing skills. I for one will be supporting his team Honduras at the WC.

@Geesyerdosh Nice one. Lay of those malts Wink.

@Mactheknife These players will lift their game against better players, at better grounds, than they've met in the past two seasons. As regards Hearts then they will be formidable opponents but they are not on a par with Aberdeen or Dundee Utd and neither will the other team that joins them.  We're Coming Down the Road

Our club has been Hemorrhaging money for years & its all down to miss-management from top to bottom.
As stated previously we are a quick fix club, youngsters only get a chance when we are desperate, or the league is won.Clubs like Dundee Utd, Motherwell, Inverness Caley, have proven over the past few years how prudent scouting skills in the free transfer market can pay dividends in the Scottish environment.

Sevco fans should have no fears about getting out of the tier 2 league next season. The authorities have ensured that they will get not one but 4 bites at the cherry by changing the league structure to include this playoff nonsense. That's right, they don't even have to win the league, if they finish 2nd, 3rd or even 4th they'll still get into a play-off.

let's all just ignore the fact that he took a 50% wage reduction a long time ago and pretend that he's still  on 800k, because that gives us yet another made up reason to laugh at rangers.

Has it actually been confirmed that $ally has taken the wage reduction, and if he has it is my understanding that it is temporary.I would have thought that more capable(not that that would be difficult)managers would be queueing up to do the job for £40K per annum.

Shrewd_dude's point is that it is incredulous that $ally should be 'staggered' to have learnt that the Huns have pissed away £70 million in 2 seasons in winning the fourth and third division against amateur and part time opposition. They have learnt nothing.

Stephen Craigan on today's BT Sport Q&A video thingy on The Scotman's website in talking about the abuse and hassle that the current board members of The Rangers International PLC are receiving posed the question, and it's verbatim,'What are they getting out of it?'

The answer Stephen is simple,loadsamoney.LaughLaughLaugh

SD the only point I was trying to make was that rangers were obliged by law to honour contracts until such time as they could legally re-negotiate new contracts.

jambo I think most gers fans were staggered by that news given the amounts mentioned and it more or less proves that the previous incumbents were there to make as much money as possible out of the club with little regard to stabilising the club for the future. ( even with his old contract ally's wages hardly made a dent in that £70mil )

I still don't think everything is ok there but at least it now looks as if the people involved are finally looking seriously at future finances even though there is still some major infighting and power struggles going on.

while no fan likes to see his club in such disarray, it's far better to get every mess and problem sorted out now so that they are on a  stable footing by the time they return to the SPL.

McCoists wages probably represent about 1.5% of that 70 million but does he think he's the only one with his snout in the trough? If he's getting 800K to win the third division and his assistants are also on ludicrous wages as well and he's bringing in SPL journeymen on 6-7k per week to play against part timers does he think that everyone else at the club will be on fair wage representative of their role at a 3rd division club?

Of course he doesn't every bodies getting a similar slice of the pie as he is. He's either taking the piss deflecting any blame from the loss of money on him or he truly thinks that only him and his playing staff are ones who are getting paid ridiculous amounts.

Outpost, for once I do not want to be disrespectful to a Rangers fan but whether or not you actually go to games can I ask if there is any dissent from the fans towards $ally? From where the rest of us are sitting he is just another of the spivs who have been ripping you off. That aside, what are your and your mates views on his competence as a manager?

Others have commented that The Rangers should have developed their youth players in their move up the leagues. But for the 15 points deduction Hearts teenagers would have avoided the drop.Instead,to cover up for his own inadequacies,$ally has brought in 'high' profile out of contract players from other SPL clubs. Does anyone know what sort of money the likes of Black,Daly,Law and co.are on? I don't doubt that they would have been happy to sign on for a great deal less.

You might like to think that things are improving but the findings of Wallace's big review was nothing more than a con to get the gullible to renew their season tickets with no refund if things go 'belly up'.

Again,no disrespect intended, but you really do have to get your head out of the sand.Admin 2 is around the corner.
