The taxman admits that approximately 5000 companies, including some major English football clubs, operated EBTs.
You have to wonder why Rangers Love were singled out.
Another strange aspect is that Arsenal fell foul of the tax laws (not EBTs) and offered a settlement which was accepted. Rangers Love, despite legal advice that they had done no wrong, offered a settlement but the taxman refused to accept anything other than the full amount. The plot thickens when you think of the many many millions of tax liabilities the likes of Starbucks were allowed to 'avoid'.

No answer from irishseptic or liamobsessedbyrangerssincebirthcol about septic selling their stadium.
I take it from their silence that they didn't know about it. Blinded by the sun. Laugh

HMRC should be investigated at the highest level, some very fishy decisions emanating from that place.

The sad thing is they keep banging on about even though they know NO ONE CARES. Nothing will happen.

The only thing people in Scotland are interested in is the liquidation of Sevco. They've told Ally to sign whoever he likes as long as its a free transfer as they won't be getting any wages anyway

I see the fire sale is ongoing. The goallie, Commons and Forrest all being punted. BOGOF.
I wonder why they are trying to raise funds. Could a big fine be looming?

I think the signings of Boyd and Miller will get us up. Both should score for fun against the likes of Alloa, Livingston. Cowdenbeath and a few others. For me Falkirk will provide stiff opposition and could be battling with Hibs and Hearts for second spot.
Don't be surprised if reorganisation happens with 4 going up. Big blow to Scottish football with 3 of it's top six clubs in a lower league.

Cant wait for this season to start should be a great competitive league.
Raith wont make it easy for anyone, Falkirk will try to play with Houston at the helm, Livingston have a great manager in John McGlynn.
The Hibees go with Alan Stubbs who will be trying to prove himself in his first managerial job & the Jambo`s go with young Robbie Neilson who is in the same boat.
Queen Of The South & Cowden may take points from those clubs challenging for the title when at home as well so it all makes up for a great season for everyone concerned.

Have to say have been content enough with the gers signings in the close season thus far.
They are operating within their means as well which is a good thing, getting rid of some guys before bringing in others for around a  similar budget.

Does it really feel like the same club for you sevco fans ?

Or does it feel different ,cleaner, maybe a new start ?

Really feels the same for me now Irish m8, were on the way back, may take us a few years to get up to speed once we get back in the top level but happy enough with the signings we have made so far for the season looming in the championship.

Super Ally talkin minty up in the papers this week.
Reckon it was a bit of a witch hunt by HMRC but Minty jumped ship too quick for my liking, selling the club for a `POUNDA`

A lot of Rangers fans did put the boot in though mac but like me I'm sure that they enjoyed some of the players that were brought to Ibrox during that period.
Laudrup, Albertz, Gascoigne, Wilkins and loads more. His biggest fault was that he let his heart rule his head.
By:

Minty was a businessman first aka, if he was that sure he was exempt by the way of HMRC, surely he would have stuck around a wee bit longer?
By:
mactheknife
When: 18 Jul 14 21:52
It was as quick as he could get out in the end aka.
He was quoted numerous times stating that he would never sell the club to just anyone, they would need be vetted to here & kingdom come before he would ever place the club in the wrong hands was the message.
Did`nt turn out that way.

Apparently the banks were turning the screw because unlike we were led to believe, it was their money he was playing with, not his.

Aka, any person may be rendered responsible or irresponsible for reward or failure if they are recognised as at the helm when things may be going down.
The fact is that Sir David Minty Murray jumped ship on Glasgow Rangers FC when he decided the time was right for him to do so.

Super Ally may have been takin liberties with the Gers support in the press this week re - this issue.
IMHO.
