And Tahiti isn't scoring this time, 100% of their effort will be on defense and keeping the score down.  They will not be making multiple man forays like they did with Nigeria, plus the obvious fact they will have less opportunities this time as they will hardly touch the ball.

has there ever been a match like it for pricing up ?

as said ,could be 14,24 ,7 ...feck knows Laugh

on that basis ,the 7-0 should be about 20/1 ...but i reckon it will fond a level around 8/1 when all calms down

Plenty of time for the market to move substantially. Bookies to my knowledge haven't priced this up so there's going to be no default price.

your statement re freak goals is true coachbuster but at 1.47 I'll take the Spain clean sheet as its about the only interest I can find in this. If they score I wont be going on honeymoon there Laugh

The only way that Tahiti get 20 per cent possession is if the skipper brings his canoe, digs a river around the pitch and canoes around for the first 15 minutes.

Did you Tahiti won the Oceania Federation to compete at the Confederation Cup? In that federation are New Zealand. In the 2010 World Cup Finals New Zealand were the only undefeated team (3 draws) even the eventual winners Spain lost 1 match.

stupid comment ^^^. brentford drew with chelsea last year... who beat bayern... who beat barca 7-0 over two legs. therefore brentford should also batter barca

I think Tahiti should take their time restarting after each goal.  Then a back-pass, chip it up and head it back to the keeper.

its mental. strangely looking forward to it though. im going to have overs, but no idea which ones. im tempted to try to get 20 grand on over 1.5 at 1.01. would be the biggest bet of my life, but how can there be less than 2 goals?? seems an incredible safe way to bag 200 notes.

or i may stick a grand on over 8.5.

or both.

decisions...

a correct score market with 8-0 onwards would be nice.

im sure it would be a lot more popular than the one with tahiti to win 4-0, 5-0, 6-0 etc where theyre all 1000.0 Laugh

talking of which, who the hell layed the unquoted at 1.02??? tahiti to win by at least 4-0 at 50/1 has to be the worst bet of the century!

104 grand traded on the over 9.5 market, all the other goal markets between 4.5 and 14.5 have 15k or less traded.

whats so special about the 9.5????? Crazy

from marca - speculation about starting 11 based on teams in a training session:

Good news for your lay of Soldado then viva!

Incidentally, Spains record win is 13-0. There's not much else for this current lot to achieve so maybe they'll decide they want this record too?

This is a MASSIVE match for traders & layers...
Under 10 goals is available to lay at 3.1 which is utterly insane. Over 2.5 is 1.01 and over 8.5 is evens.

Tahiti showed against Nigeria they're not going to cause an upset but at the same time they're not scared to play or intimidated by the experience. They had several great chances themselves against Nigeria. That won't happen against Spain and i'd imagine they'll be more compact simply because they're not going to have the ball.

Spain have proven time and time again recently that they can't break teams down. For all their dominance against Ireland & Uruguay they only scored twice against both.
Presumably, they'll be using the squad which quite possibly means no iniesta, xavi or villa etc...

The markets are pointing towards a double digit scoreline which although possible, you'd be nuts to back. My advice is to either lay double digits or wait to see what happens in play... back goals at HT if it's 2-0 or something...

Have they not realised that only one of the eleven starters can score the first goal or is it a software malfunction!

This looks to be the most awaited international fixture ever. I personally doubt Spain will get greedy and hungry for goals, I am also in favour of laying double digits

I personally doubt they will ease up too much.  It's not in the nature of professional sportsmen.

o14.5 traded as low as 3.1 it's now at 8's and I expect it to be somewhere near 20's by the time the goal junkies have cleared.

Serena Williams is quite prepared to batter someone 6-0 6-0, New Zealand are quite prepared to thrash someone 90-0.  I don't really see why this will be much difference.  Archie Thompson didn't ease up against American Samoa.  He wanted the record.  We will see what transpires.

This is a unique match up and it's all the more interesting because of it.  What would it be like for your local club side to play against the World Champions?  Well we are going to see.

As for the match against Nigeria, yes Nigeria missed a load of chances, but their first goal was a fluke and you are always going to miss chances in a game with many chances.  6-1 I thought was a fair reflection of that game.

yeah,i can't see all this 10,11 stuff myself (not at the odds on view anyway)...you see it so often ,a lot of these odds are based on Nigeria getting a possible 10 or more .

Spain is a different game imo

agree with a few of the above posters with this

besides , how do we know that Spain aren't 'under instructions, to take it easy for the sake of the tournaments reputation  ?
By:
CLYDEBANK29
When: 19 Jun 13 11:48
They won't be taking it easy.  The primary consideration will be to score enough goals that if qualification comes down to goal difference they would qualify.  The strikers will want to score to improve their goal record and to save personal embarrassment.

i kind of agree with what people are saying about maybe taking it easy to preserve the reputation of the tournament, but if spain score less than nigeria they will not be giving more than 20-25% effort, and that will surely undermine the competition even more? will definitely score seven. maybe they won't score 15, but I for one am not going to lay the high goal odds
By:

the people laying the likes of 4-1,5-1.... at above 200 must go to a mental institution. why on earth do they lay at that price when they can lay tahiti to win between 400 and 600
By:
CLYDEBANK29
When: 19 Jun 13 12:29
When I say taking it easy, I mean they won't be deliberately easing off to save embarrassment.  They'll go out to win and to score plenty of goals.  Their level of intensity will drop just as it often does when any good team has a healthy lead.  In that regard, Australia would've been taking it easy when they beat American Samoa 31-0
By:
CLYDEBANK29
When: 19 Jun 13 12:35
The number of goals will primarily be down to how the Tahiti midfield and defense can cope with the passing and movement of the Spanish team.  The referee may well be instructed to be lenient re. red cards and injury time but that'll be as far as it goes imo.  Can you imagine if Tahiti were reduced to 10 men? that first bit would be a stronger argument if they hadn't already beaten the other decent team in the group. as it is, they know they're through.

i doubt the aussies took it easy against a samoa

i think they had some agenda of being transfered to asia ?

spain can surely score as few or as many as they want so you may well be betting into
a pre determined market, and insiders may well be at work

good luck

and good luck tahiti !

Tahiti won the Oceania tournament ahead of New Zealand (who did ok in the last WC), they seem way better than San Marino who only got beat 5-0 by Spain.  I will probably back some Tahiti in places

Tahiti tied for last in the final 4 team group for WCQ.  They had a big win over Solomon Islands (who is also tied for last) and that's it.  1 win and 5 defeats with a -10 goal differential.  NZ finished 15 points ahead of them and New Caledonia was 12 points ahead.

They earned their spot to this tournament through a meaningless tournament which completed the 2nd round of qualifying last summer.
