Worried I should perhaps get out of my Under 14.5 hearing that.

im in on at least over 8 if you take those comments at face value..attacking or trying to attack against spain could be catastrophic

"But whatever happens, I do not want to play defensively and sit back and stay in our own half"

Suicidal.

Hrmm. If they are going to bomb forward it does two things, increases the chances of them getting a goal and vastly increases the chances of a cricket score. Wondering if I should cash out.

its not really needed, just wait until the spain game is over and say they score eight...if you think uruguay will score more back over 8 and less under 8, it just about amounts to the same thing

not really

id love to back uraguay now at evs ....

ken, loosen up a bit.  This match is a breath of fresh air.  Sport isn't just about winning.

Tahiti are going out and enjoying it which for the majority of people playing sport is what it's all about.  Take my hat off to them for their approach.

Tahiti would be better off practicing how to fill the goal in with players ,are you allowed to do that  ...goalie would have to come out a bit

That clip is brilliant, love how he then looks at the ref and shrugs as if to say, "what did i do"

overs are shortening, i guess as a result of tahitis manager comments.

9 goals should be possible, so evens looks good for that, nigeria scored 6 and they missed loads and were terrible

Nigeria had to score as many goals as they could because Uruguay have to play Tahiti last and goal diff could be a factor.Spain don't have to score a hat full. They usually hit 5/6 against the poor sides they play in friendlies..
Azerbaijan     0 - 6    Spain
Austria     1 - 5    Spain
Spain     6 - 0    Poland
Spain     5 - 0    Venezuela
Spain     5 - 0    Saudi Arabia

You have to go back over 60 years to find the last time they scored more than 6 goals in a friendly ! It's been a long season so what's the point in killing yourself when your 5 or 6 goals in front ?

1. This isn't a friendly
2. Tahiti are miles worse than any of those sides you've listed there
By:

think tahiti are a bit worse than these teams above

so 6-0 v poland should be 20-0 v tahiti then

CLYDE, you can have it, I won't be watching. I'd rather watch 'Newsnight'

For the record the spreads have Total goals middle price at 6.85.

tahiti can not defend. it is extremly difficult for spain not to get opportunity after opportunity. the only way they can keep the scores below 6 or 7 is if they intentionally start playing not score which is going to take more energy than if they play to score.

Coachmaster, these big scores simply don't happen, I
would be astonished if Spain hit double figures.

It's no use saying Tahiti can't defend. They obviously can as the games vs New Zealand show.

The problem is the first priority for Tahiti seems to be goals, so any thoughts of defending have gone out the window.

CJ70 - would that be a disipline thing ?  'y'know ,we are  gonna lose this so what the hell'  type of attitude - glory seems to come by way of scoring a goal in Oceana .

Tahit to score, from 3.1 to 4.8  overnight

any reason for this ?  i thought the Tahiti gaffer mentioned about stormtrooping forward all game regardless

to put tahiti's "qualifying ahead of NZ" in perspective: they never actually played NZ. NZ were in the other half of the draw and knocked out by, er, New Caledonia.

NZ also came out of that tournament with a GD of zero - 2 one goal wins, a draw and a 2-0 defeat. possibly they weren't all that.

the footballing powerhouses tahiti played were New Caledonia (x2), Samoa, Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands

---------

yes. the original price was too short. it's hard to stormtroop forward without the ball.

viva - Tahiti also played NZ in world cup qualifying though and only lost 2-0 and 3-0 so i assume thats what CJ means
By:
Coachbuster
When: 20 Jun 13 13:21
i'm guessing in that case the current price therefore is way to short ,otheriws scores such as 5-1 ,6-1,7-1 are otherwise out of sinc ,they should in reality be 120/1 or thereabouts

Lot of comments since I last checked into this thread but wondering if it was mentioned that the coach of Tahiti even threw out 15-20 goals against as a possibility?

Reiterate I'll be genuinely stunned if Spain don't hit at least 10 goals.

the assumption is that spain cant score 10 or 20 goals but that they wont want to score that much
