Will winning the Emirates Cup count as a 'trophy' thereby ending your 8 years of pain?

Sorry mate, been out with family, Not a problem replacing Wenger, Jurgen Klupp or Michael Laudrup are the men to replace him as far as i'm conderned, offer them the same contract as Wenger and they'd walk to the emirates.. Hope this helps CoolCool

The ideal man is Klupp, Dortmund are a fantastically run club, great youth system, an amazing scouting network, and a cutting edge coach. The problem is does he want to work with the lackluster Gazidis, or the slovenly Dick Law, or with a scouting system that recommended Park, Chamakh, Squillachi (we all know the roll of shame now). Also, this is a squad with a non winning attitude. I want Wenger to go but who appoints the next manager, Gazidis! That thought should unsettle all Arsenal fans. I would take a gamble on Bergkamp, assisted by Adams and Bould. But there are underlying problems at the club papered over by the Wenger debate, the previous board, although deeply flawed, served the club diligently, the present lot are shareholders who use the club for personal profit.

It will be very interesting when the Emirates Cup starts on Saturday. It's all doom and gloom at the moment, but it could be worse I could be a moronic Stoke fan.

My thoughts on the Emirates Cup

Ramsey, looks a much better player now, fitter , stronger, big season coming up for him.
Walcott, seems able to carry the responsibility of being a major player now.
Szczesny, should be our goalkeeper and backed 100 per cent.
Jenkinson, I like this kid, if Bould works with him will develop into an excellent RB.
Koscielny, world class CB now.
Giroud, not good enough.
Podolski, becoming exposed now, difficult to know what to make of him.
Sanogo, a gangly kid who needs a lot of time to develop.
Miquel, a typical Wenger blindspot (Denilson..) how he gets in the squad amazes me, slow, unathletic, no aggression, Barca dud.
The squad without TWO big signings will depend on the failings of Liverpool and the spuds if they are to finish fourth.

We're in big trouble, Arsene already seems old, tired and predictable, after one game. A couple of seasons ago we just needed evolutionary change, now we're talking about a revolution.

July 14
“This year is very important – we have better financial resources than the years before, resources we have created ourselves.
“We are interested in big signings.”

July 26
"It looks very unlikely that we will have anyone before the Emirates Cup next week, but we still have a strong squad."
"With or without additions we can be title challengers next season,"
"Of course we want to do as many top players as we can, but we also have to focus on the players we have and develop them."

Aug 17
“We are there to spend money,” he said. “People say: ‘Buy players, buy players, buy players … ‘ But who? We analyse every single player in the world and work 24 hours a day for that. We are serious about it. Until we buy players we have to win football games.”

The evolution of Arsene's transfer window language.
