Now SofaKing's backed Liverpool at 3.0 with about 12 mins + injury time after a relatively unimpressive performance, but he said 1.52 pre-kick off was "ridiculously short". Why not just stick a pin in the paper next time SofaKing?

Just use the magic pin next time imo. He said he was laying and trading in play.....what you have highlighted is what he did or am i missing something?  |

Yes. I highlighted what he did Scaredmoney. Why did he suddenly think 1.77 was a good back after 35 mins and 3.0 good with 12 mins injury time left? What did Liverpool do well / Stoke do badly to change his opinion so much?

One thing I have learned on here, is that sometimes you should just get out, and if the market is not giving you great prices, that's tough sh1t.
I'd suggest that having layed Liverpool at home, 0-0 with 12 minutes to go is around the time to get out, sharpish. Nice work sofaking. |

Liverpool to not win at 2.92 pre kick off. (won) Liverpool have just beaten Norwich 5-2 away and played well all season. Surely they have more than a 65% of winning at home to Stoke. Liverpool to win at 1.77 after 35 mins (lost) Liverpool starting to look like the struggling side of last season, and 1.52 to 1.77 would be a disproportionately small price increase relative to time elapsed even if they were playing well. How can you say 1.52 was a ridiculously short pre-kick off and then make this bet? Liverpool to win at 3.0 with 12 mins + injury time left (lost) Similar to last bet. |

Ah, I get it. Sometimes bad value bets are good as long as you've got that psychological comfort of knowing you've made a net profit from all your bets on the match. My gut feeling also says if any side can hold Liverpool at 1.5, it will be Stoke. In fact I would have made the exact same bet op did, but I had other things to do. Last post, because it's not my really my argument, and I have nothing useful to add. |
