Never 1.5 shot with that joker in goal. They ll pepper him with long throws & high balls.1.5 he ll drop a b0ll0ck.

I'd love to agree sofaking.
1.5 is it? Liverpool win 2 out every 3 so price seems about right. |

should have layed lfc last night against a better team than Stoke. They wont fook up Sunday

Haha if it was at the Brit I'd have four threads on the go by now.
We ran rings around Swansea though last week so hopefully we continue but you can never trust us away. |

Price looks more of a back than a lay, not out of kilt enough to get involved though.

Stoke relatively poor away from home in general, but our side is getting better all the time, with some key transfers in the Summer. Still predict the best Stoke can hope for is a point. Will be happy with a draw, ecstatic with a win, but I can't see it.

Not at all.
I'm very disappointed. Thought he was going to be a great signing, but it hasn't worked out. Took an age to get 'Stoke' fit, and only made the odd cameo appearance, and mostly seemed a bit off the pace evey time he played. A shadow of his former self at Wigan and Spurs. Maybe the episode with his brother has just affacted him too badly, and he'll never properly recover from it, which is sad, though that's much more important than playing football. Would love to se ehim ripping up the midfield for us, but it's just not going to happen. We've bought N'Zonzi now, and he's playing really well for us, and aged only around 23, so I'd expect we'll offload Palacios in January. |

My typing is suffering tonight!

Yes, he never seemd to recover after his brother was killed. It's a pity alright, he seems like a decent chap. Is Adam eligible tomorrow? He'll certainly be up for this game with (mistimed) tackles flying everywhere.

Not 100% sure, but don't see why he'd not be available. Certainly not read that he isn't. Would be interesting if Adam and Crouch could do some damage to Liverpool.
In the back of my mind though, I can see Suarez getting at least one, and perhaps a penalty decision. |

Stoke have got a pretty settled team and with the new players are likely to have more of a go.
This was the case at Chelsea where the split was pretty even. Conversely, this is likely to jeopardize our chance of getting anything as we've gone to Anfield to nick a goalless draw in the last four seasons and achieved it twice. The back four is settled with Cameron a significant Wilkinson upgrade at right back. The central defensive duo is the best outside of the top teams and the keeper looks in prime nick. Add in Nzonzi who has been a revelation and Stoke man of the match the last three games and this is an improved Stoke team. Stoke are 0 from 51 against the top teams away in the last four seasons (Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal & Chelsea) I guess if Liverpool have aspirations of joining 'em these games should be a given. I'm just not convinced it is... Looking forward to it nonetheless and assured of my support on the Anfield Road. |

Pulis to run down the tunnel crying like the gim p he is NAP This the bullsh1tt1ng arrogancy of liverpool fans thinking that they cant win every game..... Thats why everyone hates them so much. |

I hope & expect The Pool to beat Stoke, as they are part of my 4fold in the Prem.
Stokes away record is poor. |

I really don't get this, how can so many people back a team that have won just two PL home games this year at such short odds??

the side that was put out against udinese was taking liberties imo. udinese were a pen kick away from champs league qualification this season. if we were in the champs league i would have thought most would say the side we put out on thursday night would be extremely vulnerable.
we had a great display at norwich and then changed 8 players for a game in the same week. left out all the impressive creativity too. sterling, suarez, suso, gerrard. a performance like the man city or arsenal or norwich or man u(with 10 men) games and we should win. our trouble has been not closing out games. my gut feeling is with the strongest available 11 out we could beat stoke convincingly. if we don't the criticism will be hyped up a notch on BR. |

By:
sorry i made a mistake with arsenal
arsenal was a poor performance |
|
By:
*sahin left out in week too
sorry am half asleep still ![]() anyway i do understand the lay at the price as i said last night, really wouldn't be surprised with a comfortable win though. |
|
By:
Stoke will be very hatd to beat imo and have 3 players who left liverpool returning
they are well capable of scoring goals and will also pack the defence I think it will be a very tight and edge game with lots of fouls abd disruptive passages of play I will take liverpool to just edge this one either 5-1 or 6-0 |

OK, interesting thread here. It throws together once again those who back only what they percieve to be "value" and those who would back a "winner" at any price. Fwiw I think liverpool will win and are backable but value hunters consider this:
Liverpool are 1.54 to beat stoke Tottenham are 1.52 to beat villa. Tottenham are a much better team than liverpool at the moment Stoke are a much better team than villa at the moment Tottenham are a better home side than liverpool in recent years. Yes people back liverpool if you think they will win, but if you are a VALUE hunter then surely spurs are a better bet at the odds? |
|
By:
From what i have seen in the last few wks, Liverpool are just getting into there stride in the Prem League.
I fully expect them to win 2moro. |
|
By:
Id love it if not, but Stoke City's barmy haters collect here. Liverpool are too physically strong for us to boss the game so the skill factor should get them through.

Are Tottenham a much better team than Liverpool at the moment?
|
|

Ofcourse they are.

Thanks, I wasn't aware that that was common knowledge!

Now I'm wondering which of their results so far proves it?
Probably not the loss at Newcastle, and may not be the home draws against WBA and Norwich. Must have been the wins against QPR or Reading? or the extremely lucky park the bus win against United? Obviously I'm being facetious but the point is that Spurs have a lot to prove still, they should beat Villa but Villa played pretty well against WBA recently and did ok at Newcastle too. Doubt it's a walkover, stop Bale and you're a long way towards stopping Spurs. |
|
By:
and what about the small matter of the 17 points spurs finished in front last season ?
too early and not really any signs as yet that spurs are significantly worse or liverpool much better. sure the gap isn't likely to be as wide this year but until there's some rock solid evidence to the contrary spurs have to be presumed as quite a bit better |
|
By:
tavaris jackson,
man u were poor in many games last year, where they were 2 minutes away from winning the league, and the year before when they actually won the league so your point about some of spurs' poorer performances don't mean too much as for the "park the bus" comment, who doesn't do that at old trafford when ahead, and for the first half destroyed man u. liverpool are shocking. as in truly shocking. you point out that spurs drew with wba... they were half a minute away from beating them, where as liverpool were demolished 3-0 by the very same team. the defeat to newcastle was a game that we shouldn't have lost at all. and for one final flaw in your post, bale isn't the be all and end all of our attack, he isn't even our best player but yeah, overall point - liverpool are a mid table side, where as spurs are potential top 4 material |
|
By:
All Liverpool home games where they are priced 2.00 or below is a Lay. Was very profitable last season, and long may it continue.
Has already been profitable this season against Hearts and Udinese at Anfield. |
|
By:
mr sofaking i know nothing of your record on here but the result of this game will prove to me you are either a genius or the forums biggest mug
to say a 0 for 49 record is meaningless seems to me to be ridiculous but we shall see - i also think Liverpool are running into form and will be too good but you have described them as the lay of the decade sofaking - genius or mug we shall see |
|
By:
Im quite confident he isnt a genius.
|
|
By:
He is a genius, us losing does not disprove that.

I wouldn't even remotely say they are evenly matches teams. You cannot compare free flowing Liverpool to Stoke city. I agree we may get outmuscled and all that but if we play good football we will prevail 2-0 or more. Liverpool defo wins this
|
|
By:
Free flowing is generous - last game I watched was Arsenal at Anfield, you got bossed and looked absymal, just sayin bruv
|
|
By:
defo agree but things have changed and a massive boost was winning at Norwich. Don't get me wrong Stoke are bloody tough to beat home or away and they showed that chelsea. I just feel a first win at home is on the cards and Liverpool will play with a much higher tempo throughout the game.

By:
Yeah we played well last week but only because Swansea were so weak, we just overpowered them, don't think we'll get away with it today, if u defend set peices well it's yours the only goals we will get is off peter's head. only result i see us gettong is 0-0 (again) - i'm off, enjoy your day pal
