I not so often agree with R0y but he is correct about Mancini. Anyone who follow Italian football can tell you this. He get into position by being in right place right time. Take Inter squad with little competition to league title is nothing after Calciopoli. Against any good manager he lost head to head. Spalletti is 10x the manager who pushed with no money. Mancini can not do this

He did quite well in his head to heads with Fergie last season

“But playing for results is not the same as playing soccer—my teams play soccer,” he said in 2009. “The way some so-called winning teams play today, it’s all about the players. The managers just focus on not conceding and leave everything up to the players. Guys like [Fabio] Capello and [Jose] Mourinho are hailed as geniuses because they win. Well, they win because they have the best players, not because of what they do. I could put my dead grandfather in charge of their teams and they would still win.”
Biscuit, I put Mancini in same meaning as quote. Put him in charge of a young team with promise, he will fail as he has little coach quality. |

Amazing thread, I had no idea how stupid some united fans were
Carrick - wouldnt get in any other top 8 side in the country Anderson - wouldnt get in a top 12 side in the country Cleverly - decent but needs help Scholes - one of the top 3 players in the premiership over the past 20yrs, is clearly on his last legs, his performance the other night was a shadow of his greatness, he couldnt cope. Yes we have Gibson in our midfield, and he is limited, but he allows Felli to play. Carrick is shocking and Anderson is a sunday league player. United fans should demand more, their central midfield is not as good as it needs to be. Their full backs are pretty average too They will be top 3, but they wont win the league without strengthening their weak areas As for Everton and the initial post, for about 10years we barely ever won a game live on sky, we were rank. Recently we've stepped up. Most of the past 5 / 6 seasons from Jan to May we've been the 3rd best team in terms of points, problem is august to dec we are 3rd worst. Its nothing to do with sky or the so called big teams, its pre xmas, post xmas. The one season it didnt happen we finished 4th. Perhaps betfair should close the thread to save united fans further embarrassing themselves. |

You are right there, midefield not as good as it needs to be, yet we still managed to nearly win the league last year and won it previously before that with them players. we have got kagawa now so he will be our attacking talent for that midfield. You say we should expect more, in all honestly everton fans should expect more, how many years since you have won something is it? Ok give me the moyes has done a brilliant job, but if 10-20 even further in the future you win nothing then to say united fans should expect more is madness. If you are satisfied then good for you, im pretty sure players and staff would not be deep down

We have no money, we have a chairman who in 10 years has put exactly £0.00 into the club
We want more but until we are bought out we are stuck, half the fans love the chairman and think he is wonderful, the other half want him gone, but we know that any potential buyers have long since moved on, the guys who bought city, looked at us before buying city, but the chairman didnt want to sell then, so they went down the M62 instead. Without a buyer we're screwed, we can develop kids and sell them and hope to improve with the money, like Jeffers, Rooney, Rodwell, and there will be more. United fans dislike their owners, but they have spent, and united has wealth far beyond what we have it generates far more. So expectations are different I have nothing against united, each time they win something it allows me to take the piss out of my kopite mates, I just think to compete to win the title and champions league, which are uniteds aims, then another central midfielder is needed. I think RVP is a good signing, it enables him to rotate Rooney and RVP when needed. But I'd have gone for a midfield giant first. Kagawa is good, but its someone like Keane, Viera, Toure, Essein, Makalele, that united seem to lack. |

A fit fletcher is that man, remains to be seen if he can go back to he was. Maybe the right player has not become available or fergie thinks this bunch can step up. We competed last year and lost by 90 seconds. Champions league was a blip, prior to that we been to majority of finals in recent years, and if not for barca with this taka taka we may have gave them a game.
Too many united fans expect too much sometimes with what we have one last 20 years you would think people would be happy. end of the day football is 11 men against 11 on the pitch and anything can happend just like betting to be honest. We have not finished lower than 3rd in the premier league since it began and majority of times have been 1st and 2nd a few times. Expectations of course is to win, but you can't win them all at times. Everton have a very good team and im sure they will all be there for this year at least, what expectations do you have? You have beaten man united so if you can do that you can proberly beat alot of other teams. I will keep the faith with fergie as he has hardly let united fans down over the years and does not have many left so will want to go out with a bang! Roll on saturday to put it right! |

Man Utd fans love a seethe
What a stupid thing to say. I suppose the OP's thoughts now represent us all. Great stuff - that should give you something to base your anti-United drivel on, anyway. |
|
By:
How about you take a view contrary to the OP + the other one eyed plastics then to dispel such a sweeping statement?
But no you pin it down to anti-Utd. Are sane fans meant to sit back and say 'what a sensible and enlightened lot these mancs are' or question the lunacy of the ranting? When is the club going to change its name to Moanchester United? |
|
By:
charwell - why don't you read back a little, and see that that's exactly what I did.
Best try reading the thread before making ridiculous comments like you have just done. |
