Most EPL clubs their biggest revenue stream is Sky/TV money. Research Levante for a team truly working on a budget, 5th in La Liga. I'd love Martinez to go to Liverpool for the comedy value.

Viva Martinez put them in that position, like he does every season. Steve Bruce never had such problems.

there is no way the fans would stand for martinez.

im sure the owners read the boards so they will know by now.

Mugs on here thinking Martinez, Rogers etc stand a chance of managing one of the biggest clubs in the world. Hate them or love them they are the 2nd "biggest" club in the country. If you think these yanks who are have made millions through privaate equity investing are going to risk their millions of pounds investment on a punt on Martinez or rogers you must be daft!

They will appoint someone young, proven and technical. They will be building their whole ethos around this next appointment. Kenny got in the way of this really.

agree tony, though wouldnt put anything past some football club owners

wolves, blackburn, chelsea, aston villa to name 4 all made complete balls up of it this season

the previous american owners at liverpool also made 1 or 2 strange decisions

the 40M is self-cancelling because everyone gets it.

the real issue with martinez is the team he built playing the style he wanted them to did so badly for so long.

as i said earlier, why would FSG be swayed by exactly the kind of good couple of months that got KD a permanent deal?

That leaves erm AVB and who else? They are talking Klop and Pep on RAWK - some nut-jobs over there Laugh

Realistically they are in the same market as us (AVFC) for their next manager.

for example -randy lerner - a yank who made money in privat equity appointed a guy out of game for years with health troubles an followed that up with the guy who had just relegated the city rivals

Steptoe - I don't think you can compare the previous owners to FSG though. The previous owners basically made their money through luck and taking punts. FSG are measured, smart and ruthless.

hamsterdam - the villa job and liverpool are miles apart, that's just a fact

10 years ago maybe...nowadays both mid-table clubs going backwards ..look at the markets virtually the same.

the liverpool job is one of the biggest in the world. the villa job is one of the biggest in birminghm

yes, hamster, we're basically saying the same thing.

if there's one thing the moneyball people understand it's variance.

liverpool a bigger job than villa

for one the liverpool owners will give new manager decent transfer budget, anyone going to villa will probably have to manage on the cheap

The current liverpool squad is far better than villas too

so anyway, what time does AVB go odds on?
By:

When: 16 May 12 20:50
FSG already forked out shiit loads of cash - that queen Kenny wasted on English tat (exact same thing happened with Villa and MON but at least we got some resale value) are they willing to absorb that and get their wallets out again?

If you factor in the money liverpool got for torres, Mereiles, ngog and a few other players FSG haven't spent very much. Plus they bought liverpool on the cheap. There should be cash, if not there will be questions asked.

Rafa will be back.....

The owners have sacked one "legend" so they will have to bring back another...

Bob and Bill both dead so there is no other...

Still lives in the area and the wife is still apparently still signing on.....

Rafa the gaffer.....
