. why would he leave the bundesliga champions, CL football and 80,000 packed crowds to go to liverpool?ffs, brendan rogers turns them down and they think this guy's coming. someone post the deluded T-shirt again. |
By:
AVB to start talks with Liverpool next week.
By:
Why is Rodgers being backed in again?
By:
because on closer inspection it seems he didn't say no to the job, just to having to be interviewed for it.
By:
oh right
so no interview and he will get the job ![]() one thing we do know is fenway want to see what the managers plans are so does brendan rodgers intend just coming to Liverpool and keeping quiet about his plans or maybe revealing them after he gets the job??? seriously rodgers knows if he failed here he is back in the championship on much less money. thats why he distanced himself right now. |
By:
apparently he felt that what swansea did on the pitch last season should be enough of a job application. especially what they did to liverpool.
I'm just regurgitating what was in the guardian. |
By:
I would have thought that a club of Liverpool's stature would be looking at someone with more experience. Maybe they will take the gamble with Martinez but I'd be surprised.
By:
the announcement of a director of football type will be telling i think, i get the impression they're going to go for a big name experienced man in that role and a younger man who will be responsible for coaching the team. Think its between Martinez and AVB as the markers reflect. Of the 2 i think Martinez is the safer bet but theres a lot more upside to AVB.

I couldn't resist a couple of quid on gus poyet at 999/1.
won't happen, but if they even interview him... |

Here comes Rodgers.

By:

By:
anyone want 20 quid on marco bielsa at 70?

By:
I think Liver need Rafa back....he's the one person Liverpool fans like and trust. He brought them success.
I don't believe it was his choice to rid of Alonso (I actually believe the loss of Alonso started Livers demise Doubters to Martinez I think your wrong. I doubted him, but what he'd done with Wigan (even in just keeping them up) is nothing short of miraculous. They are an awful team of players, and yet he somehow motivated them to survive, and humble some of the big guns. That takes some doing. As a spurs fan, I do hope they get someone like McLaren or big Sam. Better still get 'king' kenny back... |
By:
amazing to see some of you plonkers had Martinez down to 4/5

By:
well aware of that pie muncher, just don't understand why, if you had "inside information" you would broadcast it on a public forum instead of filling your boots
By:
it aint inside info - just because some players want something - don't mean they are gonna get it .... players want di matteo at chelsea, players at wigan don't want martinez to leave - these are common knowledge, not inside info
By:
no you said a friend of yours who works at the club told you, in which case that isn't common knowledge. Don't want to start a row or anything, just think it was a bit of a lame attempt to blag a quick sell.
apologies if I have you wrong pie muncher ![]() |

By:
michael laudrop @16, whats that one all about
By:
Laudrup spoke of loving the chance to manage Liverpool yesterday, has a good reputation and his teams like to play football, a well respected former international player and played for barca and real, chance.

By:
right at the bottom of the list too... scroll DOWN

By:
bananaoasis - been saying all week that they need a high profile well respected manager who can attract top players, laudrop fits that bill
By:
who`s punting on Harry Rednapp
By:
somebody taking everything between 20-30 for the last hour degsy
By:
Perhaps pie muncher, yeah... he is a better bet than didier deschamps in my view
redknapp being punted, kind of expected that on the back of last night. |
By:
Remember Arry went short for the chelsea job last summer, he might be interested if approached ?
By:
he was a class player, hasnt managed anyone of note. his odds are drifting right now
By:
The market not really got a clue, their are quite a few being backed at fancy prices.
By:
where can is see the market please?
