It would basically be a punt on a relatively untested manager who had become flavour of the month on the back of some overrated achievements. |

It would be an almighty gamble.
At this stage, Wolves need results. A new philosophy, long term plan, etc would be less likely to work immediately, by which time they are relegated and in one of the hardest leagues to get out of, if not the hardest. |

If these rumours are true, then it would suggest that the Bruce option has been canned... but then you'd expect to see his odds move, even a little.
There's no chance Bruce would sit by waiting for the phone to ring after his second interview if he knew Wolves were still approaching others imo. |

This is ridiculous. Bruce, Curbs, Warnock, Clark, Poyet, Keane, Souness, Strachan, Solskjaer, Lambert, Walter Smith, etc etc.
How can you let your manager go at this point in the season and not have a suitable replacement or two lined up immediately. If you are one bad result away from parting with your manager surely you have already done the research on your next move. Judging by it this is definitely not the case. |

As I said earlier - it's not an industry where you need such a stringent interview process. If you don't know anything about your prospective candidates then you shouldn't be in charge of a football club imo. |

A media type who covers Wolves reported this a few days ago, claimed they were rejected. Perhaps giving it another go, as mentioned above they were at Anfield yesterday.

Could be the first request was without really knowing Poyet's interest but maybe Wolves have since been made aware that Poyet really wants the job and they can force Brighton's hand
