indeed, i hope to quit punting by the end of this season or next season. Betfair should only be a short term job, not something for the rest of your lives

indeed, i hope to quit punting by the end of this season or next season. Betfair should only be a short term job, not something for the rest of your lives I know you've said that you plan to quit before but i don't see it. If you're making 60k a month and posting 30k times in a year, you aren't just going to walk away. |

Bottom line - it can be done, because i am proof it can be done and have been doing it consistently for a while now. A couple of people have messaged me, i have devised the perfect money management strategy which i use and have done for a while which i will now share to them and they will post their results for the next three months on this thread. Also, i will put 1k in a new account tomorrow and also show to you i will make at least 3k per month on that 1k! You guys probabbly would ask me why i would do such a thing????????? simple - i like everyone to make money on here.

@biscuit - trouble with gambling is no-one knows how long it will keep being a success. We might enter a time when all matches are too hard to trade and predict. Plus, you can invest your money on many things which is more secure

as I said TSO I did it on horses by working 16+ hours a day
got out when I got enough behind me, dont miss it now, just a bet or so a day and to stakes that cant hurt me |

Money management and discipline the hot topic for this evening, very interesting some good comments.
If you know what you're doing £720k a year can be surprisingly easy i'd imagine. I think 60k replies a year, a more realistic target for you. |
|
By:
forget about what i am doing, and how much money i make or dont make. The point of this thread was that this amount of money to be made per month is very achievable
|
|
By:
I think it is possible.
But if high stakes are needed , I dont think I have balls for it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

By:
well that is the beauty - high stakes are not needed!
|
|
By:
TSO - we know it's achievable, u25k proved this on the profit/loss thread not that long ago by posting a video of his account, markets he'd played and the profit he'd made.

If you show everybody in here how to make money there will be no losers..

@ biscuit - where is the video? always nice to see forumites videos He posted it up in the profit/loss thread a few weeks ago. He got sick of people calling him a liar so did the only thing he could to prove it and actually filmed his screen and him flicking through his profit/loss |

yes I am punting regularly now but focussing on the high quality racing and a few single bets on sports. Without the pressure to win I just bet when I get that feeling. So yes I am always around
|
|
By:
actually was thinking of doing a regular blog on here
as I said, I ran a long running thread on another forum for best part of three years which was very successful and I still am in contact with a few of the people from there. It is closed down now unfortunately. Just for the fun of it |
|
By:
good stuff, nice to no you are around. Wouldnt bother with the blog mate. Peeople will mock the failed tips and wont believe the winners.

60k a month from a 20k starting bank???????????
pre betfair it was estimated / guessed that pro gamblers would make 5-10% on annual turnover of bets. anything higher is probably "ran very hot that year" now supposing you have an edge and enough bets its still impossible to make that unless you take high risks early on ffs. you be nuts to stake anything higher than 2% on a straight bet because bad runs would dent your bank too much. even if your trading youd have to put serious effort in. |

Good read this thread. Ignore the idiots always doubters

Well I might just be on an ok streak the last few days, but I changed my strategy last monday after 2 months of averageness and then a poor couple of weeks. I've mostly been laying over 3.5 and over 2.5 in play, and in 6 days have nearly tripled my bank. It would have been more but I took 3 decent hits
I have been risking a lot of my bank though on each bet (although less now that its building up) the aim being to try and be more disciplined with picks and build up, bank some, and do it over. Above all else the best advice I've ever been given is go slow and be patient. I probably wont have another footy bet today, and will just chill out on the american footy. |
|
By:
Price is what you pay. Value is what you get
desciplin (money management, bet selections, staking plan etc...) is by far the biggest point in betting football itself is a mug game to bet on 90 min display could be decided by a deflected FK or a last min corner, bad refering, bent players etc... so allways keep the risk low |

Why are people that don't make regular profits on here even commenting on this thread?
