been here a while and started in the hundreds but only relatively recently started applying myself like its a business using a variation on what ive posted here.... before used to just throw money around on a whim hoping to get lucky....did get lucky...but then got very unlucky!!!!! which obviously doesnt work in the long run!!!!!!!!! now learnt that "luck" is simply people trying to justify things that really dont work in the long run!!!! Patience is the key here i feel...most definatley... |

TSO i think your replies are very vague and tbh mate as i said its all well in theory but i dont think that you (or anyone for that matter) are capable of reaching the targets egner set out because there is always risk involved and inevitably losses will be made , and when the target is 0.01% per market even a 2% of bank loss will take a while to get back (presuming there is no more losses in the meantime). The more i think of it the more silly it sounds tbh.

not vague at all, they are pretty straightforward. The concept is there for you to see, egner has shown you a sound maths model. All you need to do is adjust the stakes and markets and you will be able to have targets of your own. ITs really not that hard. The problem is i think you want tips, on games and trades etc. This isnt a tipping thread. Perhaps betfair isnt for you in all honesty.

I am not looking for tips , dont need them , have my own methods.
Just stating that trying to make 0.01% per market seems ridiculous because you would need to be making the target in every market but thats IMPOSSIBLE because risk is involved. |

but don't you understand the concept? if you have 20k in the bank you need to make 20 quid per market? even with small and sensible stakes 20 quid in theory will be at least 100 quid profit. So with every winner you will always be above your target? That gives you room to manoeuvre in case you have a bad bet because the chances are will still be up after a loss. If you are down after a loss, then maybe adjust your stakes for the next market or next 3 or 4 markets a tad if you are confident of a result.

Nice posts Egner. This is definitely achievable for anyone on here that do consistently make good picks, but dont have a good staking plan and/or good discipline. Its the discipline that is the hardest to achieve for me.

Dont think the £ or the stake is really relevant. TSO has just used those figures. If I could consistently and with very low risk, turn 1k into 3k and keep compounding and adjusting consistently I would be very happy. The half of that would be great.
I bet for leisure, losses dont effect my overall financial situation. But I have found over the last year, I have turned a corner in terms of betting/trading. Still making mistakes and not handling losses like I should. But seeing the light and improving a lot. I can definitely see the benefits of whats being talked about here. |

Laying thousands of horses at the lowest price matched on Betfair and you will make fortunes . No selection method required, don't matter which horses you choose. did people get rich on here following maria's thread selections? No they didn't Frimpong. Because they had to lay the horses at the available prices on here |

Hekik, i think the thread was deleted eventually because it doesn't stand up to scrutiny.
When i read it it was noticeable how there would be references to critical posts (her followers would be attacking cynics) but the posts themeselves weren';t there, as had been deleted. It fools people because most think betting is all about backing winners and laying losers and that prices are incidental. They literally cannot comprehend how 2 people could back/lay exactly the same selections over a year and one of them makes a fortune and the other has made a loss. |
