I tried telling members of the general public in Leeds on Saturday night just for you, Paul.  Blokes generally didn't care and women generally wanted to have sex with me.

PMSL, remarkably I get that a lot as well

so do your kids know that you surely make more money than any of their friends dad's.

Why would anyone even care?

My mates Dad is a millionaire who even if he doesn't get out of bed all year still makes about 300k in rent each year simply from renting out 2 of the buildings he owns in london. My mate and his 2 brothers both work and neither them nor us give a sh*t how much money he makes or earns. I suspect it's the same for catflops kids and their mates too.

Probably best to ignore him Biscuit. He's either trying to get people to open up their secrets to him, or else he's attempting to start a fight with them.  Pretty pathetic really. The thread is what it is. If he finds its contents vulgar, he has every right not to read it.  (Like that's likely!!)

oh what's wrong Shaney? we used to be ok. why you being like this?

And leave out the vukgar sh1te it's just ignorant and rude for no reason.

I have little time for people who are just who learn nothing no matter how many clues they get. And try get rude and  try be smart about it.

For example you say I have no credibilty because I won't post a bet.

Do you really think I get a f00k about credilibilty on this mess you have made of this thread?  Lets face it Paul you are not here to learn are you?

If you are give yourself 3 (one might be a start) monthgs off the forum  and see what you have learnt.

Then come back and and reasonable questions, you just might be surprised at the reaction.

ok so as i say what i know right now is i back something like under 2.5 goals, then sit nervously waiting for an exit point. do i then trade again or leave the game alone? no-one seems to have an answer or anything further to add to this Confused

I'll indulge you for a short while, Paul, as I'm bored.  You need to be consistently backing value prices to win.  I think you know that much.

What have you done, if anything, in order to refine your ability to judge value?

Rob - ok the value thing. would you say being able to judge value is what separates the men from the boys gambling-wise. i always imagined it to be like say, rolling your tongue. you can either do it or you can't. can it really be learnt?

this chart will help you with considering whether prices are value...

for real aaron?

Ok Paul.

All you have to do is build a model for the sport you want to bet on (tennis would be a good place to start), and then use that to tell you what the in-play odds should be.
If you find - as you will, many times each match - that odds in the Betfair market are out of line with your model prices, just take them. Long term you will win.

As you would probably say, "Simples".

and how do i decipher what the IR odds should be ?

it simply converts percentage chance into odds... so if you think something happens 75% of the time and the price is 1.5, then it should be a value bet Mischief

By:

a price that is higher than the what the true probability should be, basically

It separates winning punters from losing ones if that's what you mean?

Why did you always imagine this when you've been told for a year and a half that it can become an acquired skill?  Did you just ignore everyone who told you that and assumed you knew better?  Are you now seeing why most people think that trying to help you is a waste of time, given that you completely ignore any advice and then whinge on about Martingaling being all you know?

Is this a wind up? I tried to help you regarding this EXACT point the other day, i asked you 3 questions about trials, research, stakes etc. You answered NONE of them, ignored me and instead went off to chat to hudson on another thread about his JSA.

3 days later you're back asking the same question!! CryCry

look at what toberymory has done, you may not agree with his prices, but he does which is the important thing.
