I use the sweat over the computer method bob but I try not to sweat because of over exposure in a market the sweat comes from grafting on here to attempt to stay ahead of the sharks and continually trying to evolve with different methods. Good luck and good night.

Buzzer mate thanks for the password mate but having studied your betfair account and betting graphs I am still confused mate. Perhaps a better strategy would be you sending me your online banking details, password etc. so I can set up a money transfer from your account directly to my account?? not to big a transfer mate as you know I will feel guilty about the nurses and that mate, weekly transfer say every thursday?? thanks mate gotta go now as office needs tea made..

Depends on how big the game is. For the champions league final for instance, I will be looking at the market all day. For a match like the Liverpool one today, I will be looking at the market occasionally, but won't monitor it carefully until about 30 minutes before the off.

no bob, I was profitable from the start, although in 2006 I only averaged a couple of quid a day with a lot of ups and downs. Around December 2006 I decided to analyse things properly and go for extreme consistency. That worked well, but in terms of money made, I still made less than £10 per day 2007, only active for about 100 days, so made about a grand for the year.
So I was successful from the start, but with minuscule profits for a long time. That's because I wanted to learn without the risk of losing loads, which is very likely statistically speaking as most people lose. I was pretty sure I would win, but then I thought that's what everyone else thinks too, and most lose. |

The fact that I only did 100 days in 2007 shows I wasn't taking betting seriously yet as something to do instead of a job either.
I gave up full time employment in mid 2008, but didn't start making more than my job until 2009. |

I'm not sure there's any point in telling you. If I tell you the best strategy is "x", you'll probably come back and ask me:

The best simple strategy with small amounts of money is probably market making low liquidity markets, if you can get a reasonably accurate estimate of the price. I did that with Chess and Bandy for example. Just out of interest, not worth enough to bother really, but I found it interesting, and did have a profit expectancy. |

no bob, I started with the Total goals market for football trading mainly 6/7 goals or more.
The market is much more efficient these days though, as all matches have over/under 5.5 and 6.5 goals markets. In those days even big games often had only 1.5-4.5. |
