i know we got low attendances but there was also good.we didnt struggle to get 10k every week.
By:
thats my point snake we are heading back to the standards of 1981 when the crowds were awful for some games
By:
record books show just under 10k season book holdiers in 80/81 alone

By:

By:
no-one can be blamed if the attendances do keep falling due the poorer players.we will never see celtic buy players like we did in martin oneils era again probably

swings and roundabouts

lets hope there is a big roudabout somewhere and we can spend again.
By:
i wish we could get some good players again and although m not sure of the plc rules i would think if you are investing in your company to make it better there would be no problem with that

We finally agree SNAKE.
What has happened at Celtic in the last few years ,happened to a lot of other clubs before this. The standard of players coming in each year gets lower and lower each season. It is now happening to both Rangers and Celtic. |
By:
footsoldier i dont know full rules but i know if celtic spent 15 millon on players we would have to guarantee champions league football
By:
i definately think dermot has shortchanged the fans these past 5 years.if he had given the club 15 million each season for players im quite confdent we would still be in champions league
By:
strachan failed to win a lot of the crowd even making last 16 twice.if lennon can get us in champs league next season then we start attracting better payers hopefully.

CELTIC face a hectic countdown to the closure of the transfer window with Neil Lennon trying last night to finalise a transfer, plus increasing pressure on the club to sell Ki Sung-Yueng, the South Korean midfielder. Two Russian clubs and Blackburn Rovers have expressed interest in the player and that could be reinforced with offers in excess of £7m over the next 24 hours. However, Celtic are not encouraging bids for the 22-year-old midfielder the club signed two years ago for £2m. |

Celtic make move for Baba Diawara
Neil Lennon is thought to have travelled to Portugal to see Baba in action. Pic: ©SNS Group Neil Lennon looks set to add another striker to his squad ahead of the transfer deadline with Senegalese striker Baba Diawara reportedly ready to make the move to Glasgow. Baba made what could be his final appearance for Maritimo in their surprise 3-2 win away against Sporting Lisbon, with a spokesman from the home club confirming the presence of a Celtic representative to watch the player to STV on Monday. Celtic manager Lennon left Glasgow "on club business" immediately after his side's 2-0 win against St Mirren on Sunday. Talks are believed to be almost completed with reports in Portugal saying that Maritimo have already agreed the terms of a deal but will not disclose the name of the side who has won the battle for his signature as yet. Russian side Kuban Krasnodar, FC Copenhagen, and clubs from Ukraine, Germany, Spain and France have shown interest in the striker but Celtic are in pole position. The 23-year-old Senegal international moved to Maderia from Senegal in 2007 and after an initial stint at the club's 'B' team, he was given his chance at first team level. Celtic were linked with a move for Diawara in 2009 during Gordon Strachan's tenure at the club, with scouts having travelled to watch the player on several occasions. Hearts also expressed an interest earlier that year but were put off by Maritimo's £2.5 million valuation. |

personally i would not sell ki, i certainly wouldnt be selling him and giving brown a bumper deal. only my opinion of course but i would rather have ki than brown. am i only one thinking that?
By:
no but brown wouldnt go for 7 million
By:
could do with a decent attacking midfielder , lacked one for years
By:
kis holding it together in ther! browns dirt as soon as key gos he comes back into the centre
By:
i know and tbh the money wont get spent if we take it so keep ki pls
By:
tbh i dont think hes going anywhere.seems like were only looking for a 2 million pound striker and the windows shut
By:
If Celtic sell Ki for £7m they want shAgging[smiley:crazy][smiley:crazy]

By:
why we sign victor weynama or whatever his name is if we dont play him.there is no room in midfield for him anyway.mind you he got a game at centre half
By:
45 games in league 5 goals great attcking option we have in ki
By:
lennon sees victor as cb
By:
we got way to many midfielders and not enough quality. 2 good centre backs would be my first to signings
