people say ki 8 milllon and kayal 10 million we should be winning spl by ease
By:
totally agree zipi! That game was calling out for paddy bhoy!
By:
Some on the mistakes he made against Sion (kayal) were shocking, today he looked like he had enough, did he get his new deal ? A lot of racist abuse i heard from St mirren fans today directed at him
By:
kayal is not a 10 million pound man
By:
ki be worth bout 6 kayal bout 2
By:
To be brutally honest, and someone who has been to every game this season home and away i have watched his performances closely so far he has been poor.In fairness to him he has picked up a couple of injuries, but that could be his problem as a player that picks up injuries in his career.Me personally if we were offered anything around £6/7 million i would take it.Hail Hail
By:
too right but 6/7 milloin will not come this season.after sion no team is going to look at celtic for players. FACT
By:
why you think scott broen wants to pen a new contract asap.he knows this is as far as he goes also
By:
I reckon Celtic would be doing well do get 3.5 mill for Ki and 3 mill for Kayal
By:
izaguirre also got pen to paper after sion defeat
By:
any word on this uefa thing?
By:
how come mulgrew also penned a new deal.take it he was just on a 2 year deal
By:
I believe Kayal has the potential to play for a top 4 team in ingerlundshire within 2 years.
To see figures of £2m and £4m suggested on here is quite staggering ![]() ![]() NO way should Celtic punt him for that kind of money - that's even less than they paid for Scott Brown[smiley:crazy][smiley:crazy] ![]() |
By:
hes not getting punted though , thats what hes worth
By:
What has mulgrew done to merit a new contract.Very average even on his good days.We need to set the bar higher than him for future defenders, or we will be stuck in this cycle of mediocrity in defense.Hail Hail.
By:
thats when spurs wanted brown , they wouldnt touch him now
By:
I would be amazed if Celtic didn't get reinstated into Europa. Rennes, Udinese and Athletico Madrid are all very good sides and i am sure the likes of Kayal will be playing at his best against them so his value could easily increase soon.
By:
just our luck not to get back in tho
By:
if he was playing well in europe we wouldnt want his value to increae.we would want to keep him
By:
Did he get his pay rise though ?
By:
Remember a country got in the back door years ago the the European Championships and went on to win it.Hope history repeats itself.Already looking forward to travelling to Spain ,France, and Italy over the next few months.
By:
na hes not signed yet
By:
FAIL,FAIL

i wish they would start spending real money from the top.i dont think dermot is a real football person and should realise by now football is not a real buisness as the english premiership demonstrates.i know it would be difficult in these times to entice a rich owner into the spl but i think a billionaire should be giving a minimum of 15 million ayear for decent players before the patience of the fans is stretched back to the times of the early eighties when crowds for home matches were just over ten thousand
By:
alrite lads anyone know when we hear uefa decision on sion?
By:
footsoldier - Can't decide if you're on the wind up or not
[smiley:crazy]Dermot Desmond is not like say Abramovich, who actually owns Chelsea and can spend whatever he likes; Dermot does NOT own Celtic, he is a shareholder in Celtic PLC, who just happens to be a billionaire. As a public quoted company, there are Stock Exchange rules that govern what Desmond can do, when it comes to financial input to the club ![]() |

before the patience of the fans is stretched back to the times of the early eighties when crowds for home matches were just over ten thousand Surely not. Are you trying to say the Celtic faithful are glory hunters. |
By:
10,000 my fcking @rse
1980-81 22,836 1981-82 22,718 1982-83 23,740 1983-84 18,390 1984-85 20,827 1985-86 25,335 1986-87 25,311 1987-88 33,199 1988-89 31,713 1989-90 28,616 1990-91 29,012 |
By:
i take it snake those are average crowds just look up any old celtic view or whatever from 1980/81 season you will see 11,000 for home spl matches although believe it or not this was still more than rangers at this time
By:
calling the brave im definately not at the wind up.i know dermot doesnt own celtic but what use is he if he cant put money in.if he cant do that what is his purpose in being there as hes clearly not a football man
By:
dont beleive it for a second and even if it says 11,000.how many people actually paid in the 80`s
![]() |
By:
i dont know your age snake but believe me these were the crowds in the winter of 80/81.as for paying in i dont know what your point is there as most people at that time paid at the gate however im sure those crowds are accurate as the stand and terracings at these games were very sparsely populated
By:
no they werent
By:
CELTIC 4,956
RANGERS 2,750 nobody paid back then as snake said so prob add a bit on |
By:
so now its the winter
![]() |
By:
I had season ticket in the 80s,dont remember 10000 average gates during that period.
By:
sorry briggietim i didnt say this was the average however i remember being at two games in january 81 against airdrie and dundee i think and it was 11000 and 13000.anyway the point i was trying to make was that after that shambles in switzerland and the rapidly decliing standard of player now i can only see a downward spiral unless someone somewhere gives us money for better players
By:
footsoldier - It wouldn't matter if you swapped Dermot for the biggest fanatical Celtic supporting football mad billionaire on the planet - he still wouldn't be allowed to pump untold millions into a Public Limited Company
[smiley:crazy]![]() |
By:
january 81 and you make thia average in the early 80s
By:
thebrave hes not got a clue what you mean
