Nobody questioned his selection before the event,
but then no body ever does on here. lol

After timing then, the worse crime of all. lol.
I'll bet McGovern wishes he had the same option.

one day, maybe, just perhaps, in a galaxy far far away, kenilworth will post 'f*ck me that was a shocking tip'
By:

When: 10 Jul 12 13:43
he will continue to peddle the value line no doubt Plain

casual gamblers or people who don't bet that often are surely the bigger audience for his tips rather than people who bet regularly. these people want short term and winners, not long term

Biscuit, I never ever criticise anyone's tip, before
or after, so you wait a long time.

aaronh
, He gets paid for the column he writes, his 'guesses'
are thrown in.

does anyone keep a record of whether he is/isn't in profit over any period of time?

I'm not reading the whole thresd but that's his 6th losing tip in the last 8 days, and 6 in a row if he doesn't have a column on a saturday or sunday.

biscuit mugovern has never seen profit in his life..... he once famously said befair would be a dramatic failure because they used decimals for the odds LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

Its not his performance as a journalist that i call into question just his shocking tips, the title of the thread is not "Is D Mc G the worst journo of all time?" Also the tagline of "No.1 tipster" is bound to draw criticism when he consistently picks losers.

On the subject of wether he picks losers on purpose i am starting to think that is the case, those football predicting farm animals have a better strike rate than him.

Vieira, What is McGoverns record over, say, the last 6 months,
or maybe for the 4 months you have been on Betfair ?

Since i have started keeping track, which admittedly is only 9 days he is 0-6 with his bet of the day selection, You could count a Serena Williams to get over 11 aces in Wimbledon ladies final tip as a winner for 1-6 if you want, but he just said "May be of interest"

Of course it is easier too make money when you can lay your selections when the price drops which is a liberty Derek does not have, I will try too keep a better track of his selections starting tomorrow Kenilworth, but now i will have to buy that rag of a paper.

Ive been following mc governs column for years and years for comedy purposes and would honestly say he picks one winner per week if hes lucky

Over2.5, what are his actual figures ?

vieira, you do that and we will see. BTW, I think
you are probably suited to the Daily Mirror.

0 wins 8 losses since June 28th a stellar record so far, he should just stick too making his jokes which are'nt half bad.

just check the stats for yourself since the start of this thread... and before i made this thread he was a on a 13 run losing streak
By:

When: 10 Jul 12 16:57
I understand he is a profitable punter, so perhaps
you should judge over a period of time, certainly
more than 12 or 13 picks.

Only buy the Racing Post and surely no one can top Tony Cascarino for the worlds worst tipster.I've been watching him for years and he cant have a shirt left to put on,how the RP still employ him is beyond me.Yet he turns up on these football chat shows and you would think he's the worlds great authority on the subject.

kenilworth - do you have any figures to go off?

By:

I also think he is, so he has a different sense of humour
from you. It happens, and in his case the MIRROR think he
is worth a lot of money to them, it happens.
