And none of his critics give the slightest mention to the fact that he has revolutionised many aspects of the care and fitness of players, eg diet, stretching exercises, warm-downs, individual monitoring of players and so on...

These methods are credited by the players as extending the careers of such as Adams, Dixon, Winterburn by several years.

Wenger has transformed Arsenal in his time there, creating a completely new football culture at the club, on every level.

And has laid down solid foundations for a great future, for well after he's gone.

Without a doubt, he is the club's greatest-ever manager.

Utterly laughable really, to find people who can barely manage a readable sentence on here, imagining they're somehow 'qualified' to sit in judgment of a guy like Wenger!

(Yes, I know we live in a wonderful democracy and all that...I know we all have a right to our (prejudiced and ill-informed) opinions, but just look at the situation, please! Hilarious, if it wasn't so utterly pathetic).

Every club in the world would replace their manager with wenger (bar Man utd perhaps, but if they're not top by xmas all the 'life long' fans will be calling for fergies head). The man has transformed the club from a struggling mid table team, to one of the more successful, (only) financially viable and sustainable club in the premier league.

God knows what the last 10 or so years would have been like if we had someone else in charge!

Its impossible to say that the club would have been in a terrible position over the last 10 years without him, because it can only ever be conjecture, He is obvioiusly a very talented manager, he has won the prem the fa cup and others, his team is probably the best footballing team in europe from box to box, I do think he has gone a fair time at a top 4 club without a trophy, and maybe a new manager would win something with his team, again thats only conjecture, So I would say he is not overated imo

Wenger IS overated.

He is more interested in himself, and how football views him, than the club he is employed to win trophies for.

All of his trophies were won with the spine of a team he inherited. His two greatest players were Henri and Berkamp, and it's not surprising Arsenal have won feck all since those two players left.

Wenger has a scatter gun approach to buying players, he buys dozens of young players every year in the hope one or two make the grade eventually.

Arsenal will never win the PL again under Wenger.

Lets think - 13 years ago when AW took over, Arsenal were on par with Spurs and Villa.

Now if Martin O'Neill or Redknapp in the next 13 years were to guide their teams to 3 league titles, 4 fa cups, a Champions League final, Uefa Cup final - they would be focking knighted.

Wenger - most underrated manager ever.

How many players have come through the academies of Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea over the past 10 years and gone on and played for England?

Can't be as many as one or two. Pretty much the same as Arsenal.

A more ill-informed, irrational, foolish post on this topic can barely be imagined!

Again, I suggest you read up a bit on the man's life and career before you spout such stupid garbage.

The England under 21 team is full of players either playing for Arsenal or have played for Arsenal.

In 10 years time the England team will be technically accomplished because of the players produced by Arsenal.

I don't see many young English players coming through at Chelsea, Liverpool or Utd that are of the standard of Wilshere or Gibbs.

And who signed Henry?

Mug.

So he managed to sign ONE great player in 13 years.

And you call me a mug...........LOL

As I said very overated...........

Won only 7 trophies in his 13 years,

Compare that to other clubs in the same time frame

Arsenal = 7 trophies
Chelsea = 11 trophies
Utd = 15 trophies
Liverpool = 8 trophies.

Yes its true, Wenger has won less trophies than any of his major rivals

Virtually end of topic, isn't it?!

Yes, and how much more money have they spent to win them trophies?

Of course Chelsea were cleaning up the league titles before Roman arrived. :^0

jaap arsenal obviously have some talented youngsters, like the ones you mention, but they dont always progress as a unit or individuals, what happened to the great team of kids from 3/4/5 seasons ago, most of Arsenals best players currently are all bought in players imo, van persie, arshavin, fabregas, nasri rosicky

mike i do know a bit about wengers past life , history etc, he has gone on record in the past as saying that he prefers blacks players..

in all honesty if another manager said i prefer white players he would be accused of being a racist, and would be pilloried for it...

i respect those that think hes the bees knees, i dont, but lets get a bit of perspective...
