We've already rejected one bid this season, and as stated early, he hasn't come out demanding transfer. Currently injured, I'd say it's 60/40 he stays atm.

Good start to the thread lads, I'm no Boro fan but I've been interested to hear your thoughts. I still maintain that Alves is quality. He looks your typical confidence player. If you don't sell him and he gets up a head of steam in the Championship, he will score a hatful.

Im confident we will be just fine.
Squad needs improving with another strong experienced midfielder and 1 more striker but when I look through our side, most would be wanted by majority of teams in Championship. |

Think you will find I wasnt saying all of that and from very early on last season was very fearful like most fans about standard of squad.
However this season is different league and think we will go ok. As I say we do need to bring in a couple more players but defenders like poggy,Wheater and Huth will be very solid in championship. |

Oneil - Won Championship with Pompey. Johnson - Helped Watford to top of Championship before coming back to Boro. Several other squad members have also had very succesful loan spells at other Championship clubs. And please dont say "listen and learn" as it makes you sound a bit silly. I dont mind having a discussion but dont try and belittle me. |
