agreed ewok, the team against millwall will probably start
By:
Mine would be:
Jones; Hoyte, Huth, Wheater, Taylor; Yeates, ONeill, Digard, Johnson; Emnes, Alves/Franks |
By:
If Its Wet Drink It
Do you mind if i call you IIW, could save valuable typing time for the thread ? :) |
By:
interesting ewok
what about Pogatetz, and aliadiere ? and isnt millwall a staurday ? ill check out mfc now |
By:
Pogatetz disrupts our formation. He's not good enough to dislodge Huth & Wheater at the back, and he's never a full back. I'd listen to offers for him personally, and make Wheater Club Captain, he's making the right noises.
Ps it is Sat. IIWDI threw me :) |
By:
Yeah that's fine Gary :)
Bloody hell :0 That is a strong Championship outfit. But where will our goals come from thou... The midfield? |
By:
Alliadiere 8 goals in 70 games is not enough to suggest he deserves a start. Yeates is ahead of him in the pecking order @ mfc imo.
By:
Haha !
I saw that Arca was captain tonight *Confused face* Arca can't captain himself, never mind the rest of the team :^0 |
By:
interesting ewok, fair point, unless Poggy sticks at left back all season, i suggest we leave him oout
i dont mind if he plays all season there, but i dont want us switching again, it just doesnt work |
By:
Yeates should bang in a few this year, I'm expecting 10+ from Jinky this year also. Alves can score **loads in this league if he gets his head in order, 2 goals within the first 5 games could see him steam roll this league. Keep watching youtube clips n thinkin wtf, is this the same guy or Earthworm Jim?
Emnes is the key this season, tall order, but he's our danger man. |
By:
I haven't seen this lad Yeats play yet so...
I can't really comment. However, Alidlalalalaldiere was awful last season, easy pushed off the ball, I can see the same happening this season to be frank. As you've already stated ewok, championship players get stuck into tackles! |
By:
page 1 nerves over guys, long love the thread for the best club in................well middlesbrough ;)
i just dont know what to think about fonzo, as i need to know whether hes stayi n or going ?, what position it Yeates ? right or left ? |
By:
GS has already came out and said he needs Championship players to get back up to the Premiership. Alliadiere is too lightweight for the Championship, and not good enough for the Premiership.
By:
Poggy on the left :^0
Roma away comes to mind :( I know he's improved ALOT! since then. |
By:
Yeates - Right
By:
'page 1 nerves over guys, long love the thread for the best club in................well middlesbrough'
Acklam Steelworks fans seething ;) |
By:
lol IIW
so were looking at a midfield of Yeates......Digard......O Neil.......Johnson but Arca likely to start next friday |
By:
Arca starting v Sheff Utd? Why?
By:
Emnes upfront?
By:
INJURED
Brad Jones: Ankle, misses Oldham. Jeremie Aliadiere: Foot, misses Oldham. Marvin Emnes: Calf, misses Oldham. Tuncay: Knee, misses Oldham. Didier Digard: Damaged hip flexor during win at Dumbarton, misses Oldham. Matthew Bates: Tore anterior cruciate ligament against Carlisle on July 25th, full assessment to be made once swelling reduces sufficiently. Afonso Alves: Broken foot sustained against Newcastle at St James' Park on May 11. Started running with the rest of the squad but felt pain the in the foot where he broke a toe, plus Achilles problems. Misses Oldham. Chris Riggott: Underwent ankle surgery on May 26. Will work with club's medical staff on return to pre-season training. No date set for playing return. Emanuel Pogatetz: Underwent knee operation at the end of May. No date set for playing return. -/- Jones & Emnes will be back for Millwall I think. Digard 50/50 for Millwall, starter for Sheff Utd, has to be. |
By:
digard possibly injured, hey i hope im wrong, but with O neils homesick issues, and digards injuries, i just dont know what to think
and i read a sky sports article that made me think this aswell, ill just get it |
By:
Emnes Played upfront v Macclesfeild & Dumbarton.
If O'Neill does go, Josh Walker did enough last season and @ Aberdeen to suggest he's more than capable competing at this level. |

also guys, if your ever on sky or other sites, and you see interesting articles regarding Boro, get the link and bring it too the thread so everyone can have a read |

I strongly agree. |
By:
Arca is on a fair bit of £££, he ain't going anywhere, hasn't got the fkin pace too.
By:
i went to see a reserve game last season, and arca just looked pathetic, now i know it was a reserve game, but i expected a bit ore effort
also Josh Walker, could play a part this season, i think he could run the show in this league |
By:
Sorry lads I'm doing research into tomorrows bets.
By:
Arca ain't got the pace, I'm sure he was a quicker player at Sunderland, but then again maybe have been those go faster stripes they have on their strip.
By:
Horses IIWDI?
By:
no worries IIW and good luck with those :)
Ewok, tbf to Arca even he knows he has no pace, his speciality is with his feet, passing, touches whcih he does have some talent, but he is going to have to pick up some pace to survive this league |
By:
Tennis, I've been doing abit of the horses lately. But after a few loses things start to long bad.
By:
look*
By:
anyway guys i have to be heading off now, so its been good see the start of this thread and we have so much more '' middlesbrough discussion '' to talk through
i promise i will give my upmost to this thread, and when on betfair will bring it up from gubbed to have further discussion and bring articles and news from our club probably starting..................tommorow :D good night lads |
By:
Tennis ey, get in on those fixed games ;-)
Speaking of bets, any had in relation to the upcoming Football season? Blind faith bets included too! :) |
By:
Night Gary
By:
ive backed boro for the league at 9s, done my money i think
By:
night mate, and remember if your on betfair, get this thread up :)
By:
Why brad?
9s is value! Can't eat value tho! |
By:
There's discussion about 'fixed bets' in the early rounds of the tournaments that stated on Monday but i don't read into it. It just puts doubt in my mind.
By:
i though they would by a few decent players and alves looks like he could be off, he would scored bundles im this league
value dont pay the bills |
