I think alves will have first crack if he stays, but tbh i dont see arca being on the pitch that much (i hope). I wouldn't let aliiadiadiadiere anywhere near. With jonno and yeates now being the deadball boys i think it could be one of these 2. And i seem to recall jonno slotting away one for the U21's in a shootout with no fuss whatsoever.

I wish i could type faster :(

lol, well i work in an office, so im a pretty speedy yper but dont worry about, im about for a while this evening :)

i hope arca doesnt feature either but i expect him to start first game :_|

i wish i knew what the deal was with Alves but you know hell probably leave on August 31st

The reason i asked :)

I fancy a speculative punt on the top scorer and with us (hopefully) doing a lot of attacking with tricky wingers our pen count could be quite high plus he's prob got 1st dibs on all set pieces, for the start anyway, plus whatever he gets from open play.

Not quoted in any list i''ve seen yet :|

well i saw his free kick against carlisle which was lovely

only thing though, its probably not a good idea to back any boro player before september 1st incase they start the first game but then leave, were so unstable at the moment :(

Just started a trawl through the sites. Yeates is 66/1 with 36 5 with jinky not quoted.
I understand where you're coming from regarding the ins and outs but hey, thems the risks :)

Boro fans....how did you rate Lee Cattermole before he left ???

rumours are Rafa is now after him for £12M
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 31 Jul 09 19:19
actually i have that point in mind co someone asked me about alves yesterday and i think backing at about 15/1 ish is not worth a go, but on Jinky at possibly 66's ish then its not too bad, id blo0dy love it if you were right

TT - my mate lives next door to him in middlesbrough, or his parents house that he is living in at the moment

at the time it seemed as if Lee wasnt really going anywhere so we didnt really complain with him leaving, but clearly he is a lot better than we think
By:

not 12 million though, maybe 4-5

GB...watch him every week at Wigan and still can't make my mind up with him...at times he's a liability (suspended every other week) however there is something about him and he is very highly rated by some shrewdies in the game.
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 31 Jul 09 19:29
he seems to be very highly rated, which im not sure is fully Justified

are you a Wigan fan ?

Think cattermole left mainly due to a fall out with southgate. Was always getting in trouble in and around boro (mainly Yarm) him and bates were both banned. So at the time 3.5 mill looked a nice deal although he's had a cracking season and deserves the praise i felt he was a good player imo (this is my 1st post hi everyone!)

GB yep...we seem to have a very good system/production line going where we bring in average players and make big bucks out of them...our chairman must be making a killing lately (Palacios/Valencia etc)....small club with no pressure it's a good stepping stone for some players.

hello chatname :)

i think Wigan last season looked a very solid outfit, apart from one game...........my favourite of the whole season ;) that was a wonderful day, i am sorry, but suring a terrible season that 0-1 win was my best away game of the season :)

tt - yeah with football, theres nothing worse than a last minute loser.....but nothing better than a last minute winner, although i was talking to all your fans on the way out, and they took it in good heart and wished us good luck, so respect to you and your fans
By:

When: 31 Jul 09 19:53
ive seen people with no specified chatname before so, youll have to let me know its you when in this thread cos others wont support boro and ill start talking to them about Hoyte throw ins against plymouth ;)

are you a season ticket holder mate ? also what can i call you, dont like calling you chat name :)
By:
Dunkley
When: 31 Jul 09 19:55
Haha yeah not nice not having an identity! well i put it up as Dunkley (my surname) unfortunately not a season ticket holder been in leeds for 4 years doing my degree (just graduated) so i'm back home now 'job hunting' can't go on friday either because i'm in italy which is a shame i rekon we can win and get off to a good start!
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 31 Jul 09 20:01
ok Dunkley i will refer to you as that, fitting as its your surname i guess

shame about next friday, im looking nforward to it, what are you doing in Italy ?

I'm just going on holiday with my mate for a week going pisa, bologna and rimini. In bologna wen the boro match is on so will have to find a bar with sky on lol. One last party before i find a job which is looking more difficult than i expected but nevermind!

On the Boro front I was worried wen we got relegated but feeling quite optomistic now johnson is the key tho have to keep hold of him. Really feel emnes could do well if we get some sort of target man upfront. Shame Bates got injured again was mates with him at school so sad to see that, talk in the gazette he might not be able to come back for a fourth time.
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 31 Jul 09 20:13
yeah i was gutted about bates, but youve just got to recover, at least midos gone even though we got pennys for him, but we should have a good season, and hopefully we will still be chatting on this thread during the promotion glory ;)

sounds nice does Italy, where abouts are you living, which area of Boro, obviously you might not want to put your address and postcode ;)
By:
Dunkley
When: 31 Jul 09 20:17
Haha yeah bloody hope we go straight back up! glad we got rid of mido. Good player on his day but to disruptive. I'm from the Stockton side near norton not from true boro lol.

By:

By:

When: 31 Jul 09 20:22
Yeah i heard about that on radio Tees what a joke! was pretty mad about it actually. As i would say theres more newcastle fans in boro then there are sland fans in stockton but anyway lol.
Just finished a marketing degree so looking for something along them lines. I'm looking to move to Birmingham so looking for a job there but also Leeds if that fails, just more oppurtunities really plus got friends dotted all around the country due to university.

Yeah i the course is PGA standard. That and the hotel were partly built for all the premier league clubs to come stay the weekend guess that plan has back fired now!
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 31 Jul 09 20:26
thats handy to have peoplle you know around the country, and make sure where ever you go, you stick with the boro, even if you end up in Manchester City ;) i know its tempting lol

I only started my most recent the job im in now 11 months ago, but i know how it feels to be out of work, as i was for a short while before this job, so keep going and youll get something, especially with a degree
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 31 Jul 09 20:27
