Na, can't be right that, Rory a must!

So what bets you had on the football season so far then?

well so far, ive just had my treble of Real Madrid, Bayern Muncih and Inter Milan, outrights

i certainly want to back chelsea for the league, but im not a big stakes guy so i dont i wouldnt care enough over a season, for smallish profit

so im looking to maybe back then outright in a treble with some promotion bets in the lower leagues, what you think ?

and what do you fancy ?

Ah, fancy Real do you after all the transfers???

Chelsea are interesting, wonder how Carlo's new 4-1-2-1-2 system will work out, I think he likes to play wingers on the opposite flanks, ie Malouda on left etc. I think Utd are a better "team" this year, and Arsenal are the underdogs for me and @ 9s are carrying some of my cash. Liverpool, now sold Alonso is a poor decision, it's the same old Gerrard & Torres gig, but Gerrards missus has been**ging off the city, so could be fun in away games mixed in with the affray court case, but with Alonso gone, Gerrard will play deeper for first few months of season, and form will suffer.

Will have a season match bet treble on Premiership teams I think this year too.

Agree with your idea though about small profit, and locked in for 9 months etc, best try and get a treble upwards up for 1/10th of the stake.

exactly mate, thats what im thinking, lowers your chances,

i dont mind playing for small profit in general, thats fine, but not over 9 months

my mate last season had £2 on leeds outright.......:^0 now theres nothing wrong with £2 bets and lower imo, but not over 9 months :0

i like the idea of match bets, it would give you serious interest instead of having to bet on each team each week, i think ill go for them, well have to discuss that in the next two days (who look best)

not sure about your '' utd are a better team '' i dont see how, i think man utd, liverpool and arsenal are all weaker almost handing chelsea the league......well maybe :)

I think Valencia just brings a better balance to Utd going forward, maybe not as much of a threat this year, but a better balanced team all the same.

What about with the ACON this year? No Essein, Drogba and Kalou for 2+ months.

Ronaldo is the 2nd best player in the world imo, the loss of him must make a big difference

Alonso, is key to liverpool

and well arsenal werent good enough last season either

which is why i fancy chelsea

my dads has a bet on City outright at 14's :0

The big plus for City is that they have bought PL players.
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 04 Aug 09 22:34
exactly, they played it very smartly indeed

14's is a hige price

i think them at 8/15 ish over spurs in a great bet
By:
ewok2006
When: 04 Aug 09 22:36
Agreed, when you consider the ACON won't affect them much, Santa Cruz in for Adebayor up top etc.
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 04 Aug 09 22:41
whats the ACON ?

When: 04 Aug 09 22:49
ah i see, lol, couldnt figure it out

yes that is a down side for chelsea, i suppose for the chelsea backers the smart move would be to wait as they should have a poor start

Stuff to be wary of when it comes top Goalscorers ie Drogba.
By:
Gary Binosh
When: 04 Aug 09 22:53
definately, Anelka is the bet from the chelsea side of TGS betting

although Drogba didnt like playing for the previous guy, but hell probably come good again

Kjeldsen one of the most underrated players on the European Tour imo.
Always like to have him on myside when playing a stadium type course, not sure he's brilliant in the wind.

Alves set for Boro exit
Interest mounts in record signing

By Graeme Bailey Last updated: 5th August 2009

Middlesbrough's record signing Afonso Alves is set to end his stay with the club, skysports.com understands.

Stewart Downing and Mido are the only big name departures from The Riverside this summer, but Boro are understood to be expecting a number of other departures before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.

Whilst the likes of Tuncay Sanli, Jeremie Aliadiere and Robert Huth continue to be linked with moves, Alves is set to be the next player to depart.

And skysports.com understands that the 28-year-old Brazilian international is wanted by clubs in France and Qatar, but a move to the Middle East looks the most likely.

Al-Ahli are believed to have lodged a bid for Alves and have opened talks with the player's representatives.

Monaco are also thought to be keen, but they cannot offer the same terms as Al-Ahli.

But with interest now mounting, Boro are expecting Alves to be offloaded within the next week - even possibly before Friday when they begin their Championship campaign against Sheffield United, which you can see live on Sky Sports 1.

nah, i play on a smallish golf course, but its more 100 yards per hole, and its not a proper course or out

wish i could, i love golf, and even love playing a bit on that dump, but i dont really know anywhere i could go thats better, as i wouldnt be good enough to play on a proper course

Used to knock about @ Prissick when kid, but picked it back up over the winter as few lads work play and like to have a few £ on it.
Been playing regularly since, and play at local club on weekends mainly as well with few lads off a golf forum.
