Well done guys , these darts threads have been great , couldn,t be more happy for GA even without a punt , easily my fav player but thought my money might just be the usual kiss of death . Great drama last night I thought ,still think Taylor is one of the worst losers in the game , the fact that GA had to tap him on the shoulder after the win to get a reaction is bad sportsmanship by him .
Would loved to have seen Bunting play in the semi , thought he was a shoe in for the most 180 v Barney who only hit 3 in his previous match , Bunting hit 30 odd 140s but was way off Barney in the 180 scores , Barney looked beat before he started against Taylor , at least Bunting would of given him a right go imo and just might of given him a right old scare , never mind ,its been awesome and about time GA is now a World Champ ,he could of ended up the Jimmy White of darts |

I'm no Taylor fan jon b but if a player isn't interested in shaking hands after hitting the winning double (and we'll forgive Anderson in this case as he's just become world champion) then you can't expect his opponent to stand around like a scarecrow waiting for his celebrations to die down before shaking hands. I have no problem with celebrations, but shake your opponents hand first, prefably before pulling your darts. It seems this has been lost in recent years with the money and prestige involved, players jumping around like lunatics celebrating while the defeated opponent must hang around waiting on a handshake.

I agree , but that hardly happened in this case , yes GA walked to the side but Taylor couldn,t wait to turn away but also take a while to put the darts away , that could of waited until after any handshakes etc ,, he waited for gary to approach him and wasn,t interested in watching him take the plaudits from the crowd etc ,, basically he imo had his back to him to long ,a little rude imo ,, a great winner is Taylor but and I know nobody likes losing but I dont find him often gracious in defeat , oh and I am a fan of Taylor ,he has been and still is a fantastic player , nobody will dominate any sport like he has over such a long period ,just think he must be wise enough by now to know how to take the downside to sport as well as the up side

A bit of both regarding the handshake afterwards. I lost all respect for Taylor regarding the phantom double 12 v Winstanley, he said afterwards he'd replay the match(doesn't answer the question), he said once the ref calls game shot it's over (doesn't answer the question), the question being did you know it wasn't in? Well Winstanley is standing at least 6ft behind Taylor and he queried it. Also this carry on of shoving the board under the nose of someone he's just beaten to sign is well out of order, as are his prescripted interviews.

Spot on Jon b
Taylor used to be a skint tw@t An abhorrent character he is now , with his money but how is this possible - for a fat ugly baldy bloke from Stoke . He only plays darts FFs |
