Isn't Wright ranked #5, combined with the fact he's an entertainer, he was always going to be in.
I would say the players with the weakest case to be in are Chisnall and Huybrechts. But only really Thornton can be disappointed imo. Whitlock's form is terrible, King has trouble with injury. Not a lot of others with cases. |

Taylor will remain around as a contender for a while yet. He still has it in him to win a worlds. His game was slightly off this worlds and he still made the final. Competition is tougher than ever meaning the days of him winning every year are over, but it's not looking easy for anyone to dominate right now. Look how spread out the majors have been this year.

But his ranking won't change will it. He's incredibly consistent, and the leg format of many majors favours him more than set play. It only matters really if he starts dropping out of the top 4 or something, but that's highly unlikely to happen anytime soon.
