five for Ben Stokes, his first five-for in eight years!
By:
Crikey wouldn't have though that long without nabbing five

First 5 wickets for 8 years ,shows how bad the others are.
If you asked 4 males from the crowd to bowl, one of them would get 5 wickets, stokes was englands 4th bowler,he’s now the best, He hasn’t improved, the others aren’t good enough. |

Ducketts looked the most solid player this summer, worth an interest on highest scorer.
Crawleys useless, Root ,too simple,,so brooks the only danger. |
By:
Thanks cuth, glad you had a good day.
England 2.12 now. No value at all. Might be 30/3 in half an hour. |
By:
Still perplexed as to what might happen in this test hence no bet as yet , will be waiting probably a long time before finding a very low odds lay as well , happy enough just to watch.

Kamboj not showing us much as yet.

Both got their lines wrong
Things can change quickly. England worth a lay odds on. I have backed India gain. Runs on the board. Sun should come out this afternoon but variable bounce. |
By:
No he is decent. Wait and see
By:
Their bowling is as bad as ours, hence big scores and 5 day tests all summer. No one can get a wicket.
Most swing today of all summer,so India might get a few wickets.both teams bowlers need all the help they can, |
By:
At least England are looking to be positive, early days but scoring 2 runs/over more than India did.
Siraj on. No surprise there. |
By:
England feel a touch short at 1.68
By:
India have been dreadful with the ball but it just takes 2 quick wickets to change things. Buckle up.
By:
Agree Whispering, expected more from them.
Credit to the opener's as well. |
By:
I can't remember watching India bowl this badly
By:
Creepy looking relaxed enough but feel there's no extra pressure on him that's making the difference as he knows he's heading for Australia whatever happens in the series remains.
By:
India need to regroup. If it clouds up they will be back in it. Pitch holding up well. Need to stop giving away leg stump 4’s
By:
Looking at the odds now you'd have to say it looks something of a freebie backing the draw as can't see how it can lengthen much if at all before Saturday , draw not a bad result for either team given the series status albeit England not liking draws but to go dormie with one to play sounds palatable and a draw keeps India alive somewhat.
All 3 results still alive in this one i believe. |

Market not fancying Bumrah after tea...
England 1.61 |
By:
If India don't sort their bowling out it could become a two way result come Saturday lunch , kudos to the openers though

Butchered my green, here.
Figured England lay was free, twice, after big moves down - neither was the case as the draw hasn't budged at all |
By:
As a result, now frightened of laying them at 1.41 when surely to G, there isn't much room further down for a good while
By:
Double down son
Long way to go! |
By:
Ha - alas, it would now be a *triple* down

By:
Can't see the draw lengthening for a good while yet Apt , England's shortening = India's drifting unless something changes dramatically , not sure where on earth this momentum shift is coming from though.
By:
Pope walking to the crease - everything feels a lot more comfortable...
By:
Superb from Creepy.
I think India should have shown more aggression or played more shots when England had so many attacking fields. |
By:
I had anticipated the draw shortening, not lengthening. Hold up the England price more strongly than it has...

I'm a trader, not a bettor, WD - don't have your stones.

By:
Put yourself in Gill’s shoes. What the hell is going on!
By:
Going to sliding scale the draw for a bit yet as i'm confident of a good trade eventually , just drip feeding it.
As Jerry summed up superbly on the 3rd test thread , the draw is a good trade but not a good bet. |
By:
Yes that is a good strategy but I am not a trader. Far to greedy!
Know your mentality! |
By:
Jumped on thd draw at 5.3 looking for a trade!
By:
Well done Creepy
The knives were out for sho I don’t dislike him. The way he played today was excellent but play Test Cricket! |
By:
Backed India at 11 for a trade too. Hoping Pope is nervous as usual
By:
Draw all day this
11 wickets in 2 days. Plus Lancashire need the 5th income,so made a flat hard pitch. Hence the grounds men at the crease all day. No test next year, |
By:
I am not so sure. I think it is a decent pitch but a little dry for day 2.
England definitely best placed here but if it bats we’ll day 4 England could be in trouble day 5 unless they score big tomorrow |
By:
been out all day . hjust watching highlights ,england batterring them
