Too little too late unfortunately

well could sell a few back now but would feel somewhat self defeating

By:
Backed India at 20, 30 and 50. Just one more quick wicket could be enough!
By:
collapso would suit..
By:
Although get Elgar and we will have a panic!

Makes for great entertainment those spicy SA decks
By:
Extremely impressive batting show fourth up here.
Can't wait for the decider |
By:
Does really illustrate what you can accomplish with determination and a healthy dose of good fortune.
SA lineup, batting average-wise, is really poor. Well played. |
By:
Elgar taking the pi$$ now ...the lean back cut to the 3rd man boundary...some knock

Whose wouldn't be batting on decks like these every time. (and similar could be said about us English) |
By:
doesn't look many dodgies in it though...Verryene development or otherwise going to be crucial to balance but looked ok first dig..
Markram, Petersen, VD Dussen all look ok to me....Markram had a tough series here so far but looks a player |
By:
good week for test cricket, the mighty Banglas and a far closer than scores suggest one here...just need a late day 5 England win in Sydney now...

Excellent from SA batter and Elgar in particular. Tough guy. Deserves everything. A proper leader.
I thought India bowled not poorly but not very well second innings. The rain helped as it stopped the pitch drying out. But SA toughed it out and won it. India did not give it away and the rain was not the deciding factor. Got lucky with a draw lay to cover. India should have won. Sometimes these things happen. Famous win for SA. All eyes on the Western Cape. Can’t wait. Steak, chips and Stellenbosch instead of Shiraz in acknowledgement of this great win. |

By:
And, we're off. Can't wait.
Missed the first seven overs. (Need to work on that) |
By:
Seems like Olivier is officially Jimmy's pace, nowadays.
By:
some credit to Elgar for keeping the opening bowlers on @ none down ... I'd have changed them already 30 for 0 in those conditions

a bit less weather watching hopefully here apt' - looks a pretty good forecast once this lot burns off
By:
the ha-dee-ha nearly getting cleaned up by Pujara's leg glance

By:
good session for India - looked a marginal toss decision so 75-2 not bad going
By:
Market extremely confident on India. Two quick wickets and SA are driving the game. Pujara does look like a Kohli and vici verci

By:
Market extremely confident on India
were offering 4.0 on Saffers before a ball bowled on a greenish tinge surface under heavy cloud...agree with your point and the cloud is hanging about but the India market confidence was probably even more pronounced at the start.. |
By:
Yes but still think India will win
By:
Was just about to say how comfortable Pujara had looked and how fluent he was.
By:
Pujara mark II looks a better player with a bit more positivity much as I admire his ability to dig in...just needs to convert one though, otherwise he may go back to the old model..
again been a great contest between bat and ball here.. |
By:
That don is supposed t9 burn off but still looks like great bowling conditions with nearly all the batsmen back in the hutch

Yet to understand reviews when you've nicked it

By:
Double tap!
Think it may have also brushed his pad |
By:
Sometimes you can’t feel it. Sometimes you don’t want to believe it.
I edged one to second slip once. Tried to hit it really hard. Missed it, did not feel a thing. Heard a huge edge so much so I thought someone had clicked their fingers. Did not walk. It didn’t help my cause that it was a most remarkable reaction catch as it flew. I did not walk. I refused to believe I was out but I was. |
By:
I used to be a bit of sceptic on not knowing but having seen a few batsmen not review lbw's when it turned out they had got a small nick I've been converted...that said I reckon Rahane was just hoping with that one...
By:
Quite often you do not know but plenty chance it too
By:
I didn't often walk for a thin leg glance...

Scary how many wickets Rabada has taken this series. He is imho out of sorts! 10kph down on pace and has bowled 30 of his 90 no balls in Test Cricket in this series!
I am really excited with an attack of an on it Rabada, Nortje, Kid Jansen, Olivier plus Ngidi in reserve |
