Draw odds 3.75 from 7.4 this afternoon.
10 last night looks a decent bet now. |
By:
We've somehow managed to get into a losing position from a position of utter strength and dominance

Our bottom six survived for almost ten hours combined...it had clearly gotten far easier to bat. (Especially when considering collapsing is supposedly our forte)

Warnie forcing me to top up on my draw lay

By:
Root would have got a bit of stick from the crowd if he put the quicks on and they had to come off for light.
It might have helped England's case if he had done so. |
By:
I can only see playing on helping India.

It’s a game of if’s fir India. If their batting can function just once in a benign pitch with the sun out they could be in a position to win the series. Of course they have not looked competent all summer. If that roller has not flattened the pitch enoug( they have no chance. I think I could score on this pitch! |
By:
and so it came to pass even with heavy cloud cover. In the last two series in England, India have really had the worse of the weather and pitches. The sun is out already this morning and if India bat until tea the lead will be close to 400, which, should be a winning score.
Moen’s second ball disturbed the top yesterday. I didn't see anything of the match after lunch but there will be some wear and tear but even though the pitch has levelled out and is a little on the slower side fir the Oval I am sure it will show signs of wear after tea today. India are in position to win this game. I wouldn’t rule anything out in this series though. India still need to bat till tea though because they cannot afford to give England good batting conditions. |

What is really worrying me now is 80mph bowling with a soft Kookaburra against Smifff and the Bokkie.
By:
Sometimes it's the little silly things
I was in complete hysterics at that man in the crowd dobbing his mates ice cream he had been holding into his ear,was so funny |
By:
Still a road, need me sub to shine
By:
I think a 325-350 lead will be enough for India (obviously they will want a few more) but the pressure of batting last creates pressure, whatever the state of the wicket.
I dont fancy the openers getting us a start either, especially with Hameed on a pair. Time will tell. |
By:
Tru barstool but India will not want England batting on a flat wicket. They might even bat beyond tea imho if the pitch indeed stays benign. When you have your foot on th3 oppositions neck, you do not take it off. Ground and pound is the order of the day and put mileage into the bowlers legs.
By:
Who now, Pant needs to do it today, but later I'd guess
By:
Off course the big wicket will be Thakhur lol
By:
Blimey didn't look out but that's the quickest ball tracking I've ever seen.
By:
If India indeed do go on to win this match of, which, as just showed we are no means certain then I hope the Mom Adjudicator realises the match winning or match changing performance came from the said Shardul Thakur
By:
Ashwin could have played instead of Rahane!
By:
A quick 70 pant requires
By:
I do think India will need another 100 or so and do no5 want England batting after lunch on this wicket with the sun shining.
