This is all part of the game.
Wear and tear |

Weird - on refreshing my Match Odds page keeps randomly reverting back to showing India 100/4 again - WTF?
By:
Joe has lost his marbles here.

By:
same here, Vardon

Is there rain forecast? Just 3 an over on this wicket? Why is that draw so short?
By:
I am sitting almost pretty. 4 figures green on the draw, slightly larger India and just a bullseye red on The Engerland. Do not need them to create a miracle. Will hope foe heavy roller flattens this out fir 50 minutes or so and will then look to lay the draw or England.
Shirley India win this? |
By:
The mathematics state the overs, the run rate required and an apparently lifeless pitch indicate an England win is possible
By:
decent start! , think they will do this on the bridle
By:
Everything poits to an India win.
New ball tonight and another around tea tomorrow. Not much confidence in our opening pair. Hope they take a positive approach rather than just try to stay in this evening. |
By:
Ok, playing for draw. Just block until India win is less likely.
By:
If they are batting like this so early it will rain runs when the ball gets old. Draw is surely out of the equation.
By:
Whispering certainly right about this track. Nothing for the bowlers.

draw fav, well done ebony

England have to go for the win surely? 250 odd runs on a runway
By:
The Test World cup really does encourage teams to play for win. It will come but when?
By:
England should have won this test anyway when they had them 120/7, even today they gave them 50 runs to many ffs
Should have been chasing 220 max I think it will come eventually lendusafiver, people are bored with the attritional stuff, we've become the best at one day and T20 but gone backwards in test cricket, it use to be the opposite |
By:
It's all set up for a cracking day tomorrow. If these openers keep playing like this they will have the confidence to really go for this target.
By:
Still a lot can happen tomorrow. Going to try and sit on my hands for as long as I can but will look at laying draw and backing India. Maybe even lay England from time to time as every wicket will send the market into a frenzy with people trying to cover their positions.
Not really sure what will happen but it is absorbing cricket as far as I am concerned. |
By:
No wickets, who'd of thought,game on I guess,perhaps
By:
weve had some cracking 5 day test matches last 18 months with windies, india and this one ,
By:
Which side is the current number 1 test wise?
I'd rate India the best at the moment, they've been excellent this series, New Zealand are very good currently as well It'd be great if the Windies got back to being a top 3 side again |
By:
Going Irish Butch, lol Ebony will berate you for that, but he Irish,we won't mind too much.
By:
could be a very good day of test match cricket ... all results possible & the pitch seems benign ... england surely have to go for it which also helps the indians as they don't want obdurate batsmen who simply defend throughout ... i'm on india but that seems the least likely result at this moment ... by lunch things may have changed ... bring it on
By:
India 3.25
England 3.50 Draw 2.42 Take your pick. England for me. |
By:
Fascinating day in prospect. England need to ainm for 100 per session as India will be time wasting in the final session if England are in a good position. If these 2 get less than 40 in the first hour, Root should be telling them to get runs or get out.

Absolute Jaffa to the left hander.
By:
That will put the brakes on
By:
When did you notice the brakes being taken off?
By:
That was a serious delivery.
By:
Not much over 30 runs in an hour. Surely England should be 10/1 by now.
By:
3.95 each of two.
2.05 the draw. |
By:
England cannot win this game, if England wanted 70 off of 10 they would have to make any chances and here's what would happen then. India would start to bowl 1 day wides, which of course are not in Test Cricket
By:
I was hoping they might have 150 by lunch.
Not looking likely now. |
By:
Malan looking very edgy.

By:
Rush of blood from Hameed.
Nerves playing on them. |
