I think I like Old Satchmo better than Ella! |

India bowling pish here.
I think they should also try over the wicket to Conway and try and bring the odd one back into him through the gate and slide the rest across him |
By:
This wicket would have really suited both Bhuvneswar Kumar and Mohammed Siraj. Easy to say in hindsight but with foresight who would you have left out? Bumrah and Ishant? Can't see who could have made that decision. One of them could have played instead of one of the spinners but if it did not rain on Monday they would be in the game now but I think yes one of the spinners should not have played perhaps.
By:
it's more so the batters who have let the side down albeit against exemplary Kiwi bowling
some ill judged shots and dismissals in both inns from their main men |
By:
maybe but have a good long at the over this morning where Jamieson set up Kohli. The way he drew his length back was kwality!
Some of the dismissals ahve looked soft but there has been some very good batting or rather application show imho |
By:
here we go!
Hoping to utilise this India green! God help us if they win though! Need a second quick wicket to make things interesting. Coulda shoulda woulda taken some some draw at near 30! |
By:
No need for that from Latham!
Don't you love Pant! You have to smile when you hear his laugh! |
By:
Looks out.
By:
Wowee, was sure that was into leg
By:
oh man that would have made it soooo interesting for the rest of us!
By:
Indeed!
By:
cutted and nutted!
By:
C'mon Come on!
By:
Limpet gone!
By:
Draw price shortening is not what I has envisaged tbf but there are something like n35 overs to go technically anyway. Who would pull the drawbridge up? send in the Big Man to smash this total down quickly and give confidence to the others. Get Bumrah on for LT!
By:
Good shout Sunny.
You could thor in Wagner, Southee and The Big man before LT. Hit out and get out but reduce the total! |
By:
Really need two more wickets to get into the chokers head!
By:
Think Jamieson call would have been brilliant.
By:
If play can go beyond 7pm to get in the 35 overs then the draw lay is back on shirley?
By:
Draw looks a fantastic lay at 8.8 but I don't dare, no way they don't go fully at this.
By:
8.2*
By:
The RR for NZ was about 2.6 which none of the three innings before this have achieved. I backed the draw based on that thinking.. If NZ lose wickets, they won't take risk. Too much at stake.
A small partnership would change that though especially if NZ promote Southee or someone at the fall of a wicket. I won't be a draw layer here. |
By:
Ok, I've switched from even green to mini-red on draw.
By:
I am maxed out on the draw lay so was hoping for wickets to lay off some India green. Got a nice win coming on a result but twice as much on India as NZ.
By:
Don't think so DT
Root is not captain! They will both be going for the win here. As long as KW is at the crease NZ win this. Personally I would have saved LT and Nicholls and just thrown in 3 hitters in a row! |
By:
I think you are safe adt but betting on the last day will kill you if not financially, mentally!
By:
I've a shade under half as much red as the two greens.
Loved the 10 dot balls since though ![]() |
By:
Think these two attempt to take it down to 20overs, whereby they'll feel they can't lose and with such a tiny total - they will have complete licence
(This is perhaps a great argument for *not* having entered just yet!) |
By:
Isa joining Gavaskar in the opposition camp!
By:
All match the batsmen have been slow, but they've survived relatively comfortably when they've not attacked. Pitch isn't spitting for pacers or spin. NZ know they can fall back on that if they wind up 5 or 6 down once they start hitting.
By:
NZ scoring t o o s l o w l y here..1.07 backers need to plug the batsmen into the National Grid
By:
This draw price is trying to get me further involved, but I'll hold off for the next few maidens
By:
By:
as for my book its red all over lol but draw is still my best result
![]() |
By:
Draw red gone, no preference on NZ or India. (Though I'm sure NZ will win)
By:
Tempting to tickle India at 36.0 but just can't see it
By:
Safe apt!
Best to enjoy the show. I am still carrying a large draw red! but am pretty confident. India were 40-50 runs short! |
By:
Dt the only thing that really affects the run rate here is wickets. Wickets cause fear, panic and choke. These wo should be enjoying batting now not worrying. New batsmen will worry particularly if both these men are gawn but there is some confidence in the hitters in this side down the order so I never really feared this game would time out ( I am not a yank! )
By:
Sitter!
Is that two drops from India today? Huge! Too late now! |
