Nice from Waggoner. Ball is still doing things. Why pitch it short!
|
|
By:
He really has to resist the urge to go short here. Plenty in the pitch.

funny old game, this wont be a draw

Yeah baby yeah
I just was thinking about how bad a game Boult was having and I would take him off! Was also just getting ready for an NZ top up at 5 but I am well loaded both sides against the draw. Question is now to tak3 money back and walk away or let it all ride. Omfg Panty! Ride Sally ride! |

1.62 Draw

Unless NZ get them out in the next 10 overs, they'll have to chase over 3 an over and I don't think it'll be that easy on this pitch. Draw looking too big to me.

some of these shots would be frowned upon in T20s which will soon be the longest format of the game
v poor from the Indians, out of their comfort zone but they can take solace that they will get some mojo back in the tests to come..at the end of the day ..they're only playing England ffs ![]() |
|
By:
Was just about to say before that 4 is would it be worth an NZ lay? A few quick runs from Shami buy back, lay again when India are all out buy back on loss of wickets!
The question for me is can this be a draw and should I cover it now. Cause for speculation your honour. I don't usually gamble on the last day. Too easy to get it wrong so I won't. May or may not cover the draw if it goes to ridiculous. |
|
By:
Goddam
did NZ just go up to 3.55? |
|
By:
were NZ facing their own bowlers the draw could still be on if they get off to a poor start
but the Indian bowlers haven't had the same penetration but one never knows it will actually be a poor reflection on the Kiwi batting if they can't grasp the mettle and finish off what their bowlers have done so manfully |

LOL!!!
I've been in this test match for about 6 overs in total. ![]() |

surely 10.5 to lay India is a gift from the gods
even in this day and age of major capitulative collapses NZ couldn't contrive to get allout if things started to go awry in the run chase? |
|
By:
If you have steel cajones you can make so much money on the last day.
Trading is just not my style of gambling but I am Adam Ant I just saw NZ at 3.55 after a couple of fours and just before the ninth wicket. NI was going to execute but he got out to the fly slip next ball! India were 30 at one point. Two quick wickets like India will be single figures possibly sub 6 or lower and that is forgetting the excitement of the game itself if you are investeed as a fan of either side or lover of the game. Nobody could begrudge NZ this except 1 billion Indians! |
|
By:
Dont think so Johnny just yet!
Wait for a couple of quick wickets then do it! |
|
By:
Judging on the opportunity Williamson gave England to achieve a result I can’t see them ever playing for a draw.
|
|
By:
real shame though as I would loved to have seen Ashwin and Jadeja bowl on this to a crowded field.
If Latham takes first strike I would give Ashwin the ball even for 1 over to get into their heads! |
|
By:
![]() Sibley not out 5, who are you kidding! |
|
By:
i was thinking same Wd but conversely if they make a reasonable start India will drift like the Kon Tiki and subsequent wkts won't reduce their price overly
|

I bet a pound to make 10 johhny not the other way round.....I guess that is why I am poor and not a Banker

By:
i'm not a big odds on backer..that's a conceited mugs game but sometimes when smth should be 20s on or skinnier as a layer and 10s is available it's an opportunity
what do they say..success is when hard work meets opportunity? |
|
By:
anyhow,as far as i'm concerned it's good to see pitches that reward good bowling and u have to earn ur runs as a batsman rather than dull 500 plays 500
mind u the way nearly all test batsmen bat these days they are doing well to get 500 in 2 inns let alone 0ne! |
|
By:
No success is when
you're daddy's rich and your momma's good looking and you can back 1/10 certs! |
|
By:
Quite a magnificent Test Match. Just a shame we lost so much time that the spinners may not get a chance
|
|
By:
is there a possibility that this could be a draw, not because NZ lose wkts but that they may not score quickly enough?
|

Not really I mean it is always there. The only chance that happens is a mighty calypso collapso and them hanging on for grim death but I just cannot see it.
I should have greened but I was hoping for an early wicket or two. Am happy to wait. |
