if the light isnt good enough at 1030 am it's hard to see how it's going to get any better with the forecast today

England and Pakistan odds should be swapping places, England have very little chance of winning with all this play being lost
By:
What vexes me is at these draw levels there is no more trading opportunities to be had and we're only on day 3

Not really. Nothing extraordinary has happened. They've just followed the protocols. The light meter reading decides when they go off. I don't see a better method of determining conditions suitability.

Root wont be in any hurry to get out there
glad ive been too busy to get involve here so no dog in the fight for me |
By:
I don't give a flying f*ck about their protocols, they are destroying the game that is not in great shape anyway. DESTROYING!

Pak going home?..tms saying...vaughan saying its getting lighter

the light reading mustve been low or is it a standard measurement?
By:
By:
The first time they go off for bad light, as determined by the umps, sets the standard for the rest of the game. So the reading on day is the standard.

Layed Pak 225 and eng 225.
I havent thought this out. So I'm confident one of them bets will win. |
By:
draw was 1.47 at 10ish last night when i had a look.
By:
firstly i take no glee from those who fcuked up here.
secondly i mentioned the light a few times long before any metres came out thirdly people should return to this thread after the test is over and wonder what complete bollox was being posted, i was honestly staggered by some posts, in denial to the soooo fcuking obvious... finally i agree with Tom in that its only Pak that can win from here. |
By:
ive seen enough of this test..im off to lose some golf balls
By:
People laying the weather weren't necessarily wrong. The light fkd everyone
By:
Fk redded out my draw lay yesterday at close. Decided to lay the hell out of the draw at 1.22 this morning with a back bet left up at 1.40 to get scratch. Literally took dog for a walk and cqme back to see it got to about 1.37 and looks game over. Its seriously dark there.
By:
Det, it was the light that was so apparent as i stated more than once, it was a certainty that light would be an issue.
By:
I am losing 1.2k.
However if pak don't come out to bat again I'm not losing anything. Or they could declare. Since the match odds are out of their control I hope they did the right thing and laid 225 runs like me. Or they could be genuinely bowled out. |
