seems to be a fair bit disparity between met office and more pessimestic bbc for Sat & Sun but in forecasting terms weekend is still a long way off. does seem overdone so now a layer at these 1.7x prices

179 overs last years Lords test v India....in light of that and the Irish game a few weeks ago to see draw down at 1.70 is breathtaking

Where does Auntie get her weather forecasts from if not the Met Office, but with a bit of a delay?

I wonder why the Beeb did that? Seems oddly unpatriotic for one of the last remnants of pre-privatisation.

By the way those video links were really interesting. The Martingale simulation was scary - I wonder how much less extreme the result would have been if you were to run ten separate runs simultaneously for a tenth of the starting amount each?

the £35 k draw backer last night at 1.75 was stopping himself out, not a fresh position. hth

I saw that did he mean to lay and pressed back? That said, I suspect draw will be below 1.75 sooner rather than later

That 35K order was not a mistake as it was there for 15 mins before it was fully eaten, had time to cancel

Current forecasts suggest an hour or 90 mins play might be possible at end of day tomorrow.

Nah the whole day washed out is priced in.
Reckon it will go to 1.6 and then reverse out to 2s at the end of the day.
That's assuming no changes in the forecast

I agree that a was out was priced in @ 1.8x, otherwise we wouldn't be seeing this drift now

Fear not, in the event of a day one washout, Joe will concede England's first innings to keep the dream alive.
