I'm almost a break even with this latest draw plunge into the 1.9x - but I note the Met forecast for today has worsened slightly in that heavy rain is predicted from 9am, solidly until 4-5pm, at a 90% certainty. Any panic move to 1.75 or less could be an opportunity to reverse the position...

Because daytrading sunshine hours at NW8 is so different to taking a view on a sporting contest.

Rain often looms of course, and when it is in the background it adds a frisson, an extra element. When it overtakes a fixture though the quality of the players fades away and the dark clouds, wind and rain are all that matters. If we have 2 days of rain it could be Zimbabwe 3rds vs Lower Dribbling, the players wouldn't matter any more. And that would be a shame.

What happens to the draw if there is little play today, whoever bats all day tomorrow in fine weather is 260/5 and then we are left with three pretty iffy days. the days of a leather jacket from Hansie are gone

No play today equals about 1.6 on the draw for me.
Thurs looks ok
Fri not so good
Sat a washout
Sun ok

So looks about 270 overs absolutely max
