Weather update
Another update from BBC Weather's Simon King: "As the rain continues at Lord’s, there are signs that this heavy rain may clear over the next couple of hours. However, we’ll be left with patchier light rain and drizzle for the rest of the afternoon. Chances of any lengthy dry periods look remote."

So presumably when the pitch is deemed playable there will be start time for a toss and then another 30 min before play starts...?

Yes, as far as I know there needs to be a 30 min break after the toss. So no way they start at 2:30

Even if conditions are perfect they will need to follow the standard procedure and inform the teams of toss time so they can finalize their playing 11 and bring the team sheet with them for the toss. Then 30 mins till the first ball is bowled.

Sure, so more likely a 2.15 or 2.30 toss and 2.45 / 3.00 start assuming pitch not too bad...

yup. As the end result I am now very pessimistic about a result. Especially as there is weather on the last day, which always keeps the draw down.
