Didnt we have an unbelievably green wicket in NZ last season which ended up playing flat? I am thinking if they cut some grass off this, draw might come back to 8s and if it plays well, straight down to 5.x

I think i'd rather see India batting, but having said that Starc can run through teams if it goes his way......

For me we're all just guessing at what the odds the draw should be (apologies if you really know). You can't argue that there are very few draws these days and can't argue that the odds are higher than normal. That's why the odds are as they are. Take your guess.

Having laid Aussies and backed the draw I'd really like Aussies to bat first.

India in the last 12 months in away tests have experienced all kinds of quality bowling with bounce, swing and excessive seam in my mind they are better equipped to deal with a spicy wicket than Aus so this draw backer wants India batting 1st.

Normally I'd want the team I'd backed to be batting first (India in this case). But if they did and collapsed then I'd have nowhere to go for a while. If Aussies bat first and collapse I'm ok and if they don't then draw should come in.

I'll be fcked anyway as wont be watching until around 6 or 7 in the morning so for me just a guess.

I wont see it but will be interesting to see how odds change when toss is made.

It may be green but it will be bone dry. It's just been prepared so it greens up at a lower height.

It'll bounce that's for sure!

I dont like 2.20am starts as thats neither one thing or the other but I'll be doing the whole game ball by ball.

its 3:20 for me. A sad time for a cricket game to start. But considering ive gotten so heavily invovled i'll stay awake.

I’m £4K in with another £1k looking for 10.5 so I will be up for the start of play no matter how stupid the hour. I suppose I could just set some lays up and sleep but I need to know whether the 5th k gets matched, really. I do appreciate this could be horrible very fast but 10s is an outrageous draw price, even given that the markets have changed somewhat recently; that this could be spicy and that both sides bowl better than they bat.

I've put up some draw lays between 6 and 7 and will sleep easy tonight. No big deal in the morning whether matched or not.

10s is outrageous, but the DP is rarely wrong from the outset, so the value here is likely to be found playing the Aus/Ind prices as the game develops. 2.54 seems generous given that the teams are, at best, evenly matched, so I'll take a smallish opening position on India and look to trade the ebbs and flows...if there are early wickets a DP of 20 could be seen in session 1 (which will be the time I take some), otherwise look to lay it as it becomes more realistic

Looking at this new pic of wicket I am more optimistic now it looks very different than yesterdays ones, I want draw layers to be shafted, mullered, devoured, hung dried and deep fried.

Actually not that different, just a little less green Sad but the sun has got its hat on and hopefully it will burn that green away.

By:

Toss not occurring 45 mins out.   They do in BigBash and I thought they did in 1st test but we've had nothing.

I would not dream of advising others, I will only tell you what I am doing and that is sitting on my draw backs and hoping there is no clump of early wicketsw

Comms saying 3.5-4 day game, 250 first innings great score.  Have to think laying Aus would be the right move, but I may start small and double up down to 1.50 if it makes it there soon.  Lay and trade out on a wicket strat.

I have seen greentops play placid before, hope this is one of them...or at least if Aus implode let them be 50 for 0 before it happens.

Still green AF! Justin Langer said there's some cracks already. The curator talked about their being swing with the humidity inside the stadium
