Yeah, seems a bit odd. Not as if the first test ended on day 3 either. I was quite pleased to get some 7s and it’s now 7.4-7.6 so adding more. Won’t take much sensible early batting to see something quite palatable for a lay off, although neither side did much sensible first innings batting this game.

Saffers skittled Aus here a few weeks though & Eng were also bowled out here for a mediocre total.
By:
England bowled out for a mediocre total shock!

By:
I have just got on the draw at 7.6
By:
I read in cricinfo it was going to be a fast and bouncy wicket. Day 5 morning finish expected or earlier if people keep throwing their wickets away, India continue to bowl well and Aus bowlers particularly Starc come to the party.

The draw still looks too big to me and i've bought both at 7.4 and 7.8

I'm sure I saw storms forecast for day 3 pm, might have been on BBC weather

By:
Draw out to 8.4 now
By:
Put £50 on draw at 7.6 and now trying for another £50 at 8.4

India all day long
Doubling up Due to win toss again possibly allowing for top up otherwise |
By:
India last one at Perth in 2008. Only SA have won here since (twice). We all know about SA's pace attack over the last decade.
The Oz batting lineup looks as poor as it's been for ages but the bowling is formidable. If Oz lose this, they are in the Slough of Despond. 0-2 down at home?? A loss at Fortress Perth?? Personally I think they will bounce back. |

It's not the WACA though so historical stats are worthless here.
By:
It is not the WACA true and it is an enclosed Stadium so the Doctor might not be as effective but the Groundsman said it did swing here recently. It is also viewed as a bowl first wicket with any juice likely to be day one only. May get flatter and harder day 2.
I think it is a wait and see at least that is what I shall be doing. Starc was awful in Adelaide and despite the plaudits I don't think Lyon bowled that well at the start of the second innings eventually gifting India the win by 31 odd runs. You have to fancy India here. 4 left handers in the top 6 and all calls to play a 4th seamer, well ashley, no calls to play a 4th seamer! |

Pitch conditions set for no draw but toss could again be very cucial.
So I'll keep the 2.4s |

I've laid the draw at 7.6. By all accounts it's gonna be fast, bouncy and the groundsmen has said he's leaving a lot of grass on it. Again, we have the 2 great bowling attacks with average batting. The shield match that was played here recently was low scoring. The spinners will still be in play with the extra bounce. It will be interesting to see if the Freemantle Doctor breeze plays a part like it has at the WACA in the past. Selection is so vital in the make up of a successful test team. England seem to be getting it right, although that might be just luck and not Ed Cowan. With Cummins fit again and bowling well, I think Australia should select him for this match. I also can't believe Stonis isn't in the team. Good luck everyone!

Bünden, this game is not at the WACA. I think it's the new Perth stadium.
Aus have shortened to 2 on Ashwin and rohit news which means I have a 100 red on all results. Not a good start. |
By:
I meant to say they should select James Pattinson. Yeah I know it's the new Perth stadium.
By:
Aus 1.92 now. Looks like I have quite a mess to clean up.

Scorecard from a recent game
https://live.cricket.com.au/match/2194/43770/western-warriors-vs-nsw-blues-jlt-sheffield-shield-2018-19/scorecard Now I know why draw has reached levels it has. |

By:
Rare to see a draw price so big pre match. It happens when Bangles play one of the big boys away but Oz v India??
By:
Taking a little draw on board now 9.6 for trading purposes.
Top up India 2.6s also. Not sure what I think of the options available to India now. Ashwin is a loss but perhaps less so on here Either way Australians need to show up |
By:
A lay of Aussies at 1.94 seems a reasonable place to start. Also going for a small back of the draw if I can get 9.8.
By:
I've backed the draw also. Rude not to. 5s would be nice tomorrow lunch time.
By:
By:
160 all red as if now with 1.2k deep on aus.
By:
Green pitch. Bouncy. Balls not hitting the stumps? Fewer bowleds and LBs.
Kookaburra ball has a seam that turns to mush very quickly. Just my thoughts...draw will probably hit 20s by lunch!! |
By:
Just had more of the draw at 10. In my short betting career, ive only once seen a 10+ price on the draw in an Aus v WI game.
By:
30 for 0 and draw might be below 6 ...........dare not contemplate what 25 for 3 would have it.
By:
I don't keep records but 10s for a draw before play with two major teams must be a first?
By:
Up to 11s being matched now.
By:
Market is either very good or very stupid. Time will tell but at 11s being stupid comes cheap.
By:
ive never seen the draw this high, i went in yesterday at 8.4 thinking it wont go any higher, going in again now.
